About Louis

Hi I'm Louis! My earliest memories of playing TTRPG's was with Dark Imperium back in 2006 and with the first session I was hooked, for years onwards I would play in various systems of any games I could join. I have dabbled in various systems such as Cyberpunk, Dark Imperium, Mutants and Masterminds, Dune Imperium and others! But through all these experience through the years I never quite found what I was looking for as a player, so that is when I decided to try and GM for the first time, I have run various one shots in different systems before I settled on Dungeons and Dragons to run for a long term campaign which I can say has been still going on to this day years on!

I got started GMing...

because I could not find a game I felt at home, so I make my own.

My favorite books are

Gotrek and Felix Series, The Witcher Series

When I'm not running games I'm...

Hobbying with Warhammer, Gunpla or playing games or watching films!

How Louis runs games

I think first and foremost I love to incorporate player backstories into whichever campaign/setting I am trying to achieve, I would also say that I scale encounters to the world to try and give players as much agency as I can but by also having legitimate threats present themselves through player choices. I also try to stick to RAW (Rules as written) but in certain climatic/tense situations where ROC (Rule of cool) would take over. You should expect a story driven, roleplay heavy with satisfying combat encounters campaign with me.

Louis's ideal table

I think my table sits in a pretty specific lane: mythic, morally grey fantasy where player choices actually reshape long arcs, but the world doesn't just because the party is "the heroes." If someone wants a straightforward good vs evil dungeon crawl every week they'll probably feel like something's off. If you like stories where victory still comes with consequences you'll feel right at home! The general vibe is cinematic and grounded at the same time. Big moments matter but they are always filtered through personal stakes. Players aren't just watching lore unfold; you're getting entangled in it. Tone wise I would lean towards dark/grim fantasy. There will be tragedy, manipulation, loss and impossible choices but also triumphs that feel earned because they're hard won.

Featured Prompts

I am for a vibe that's...

leans towards heavy roleplay so character development can really be felt.

I love it when a player

uses creativity and ingenuity to overcome and obstacle.

I think it's a red flag when players...

Conspire against each other.
