About Robert

Hello! My name is Robert and I've been playing DnD for around 8 years and I've been DMing for 5 years. DMing is something I adore, it's my dream to be a writer and tell incredible stories and DMing is the perfect way to do it for me, telling a collaborative story with my friends and other brilliant minds.

I became a GM because

I genuinely want to be a writer and this is one of my favorite ways to tell a story!

I got started GMing...

When I was 14 after I took my dad's spot in our campaign. I found my love for storytelling, specifically collaborative storytelling and from there, it's snowballed into over 20 campaigns ran in the past 4 years.

People are always surprised when I tell them

I don't read often. I have tremendous ADHD and I'd much prefer to tell a story than be told one. I focus on comics when it comes to reading but chapter books bring me a lot of difficulty.

How Robert runs games

I'm very roleplay heavy (don't worry, battles will still occur regularly!) and I love seeing player to player interactions! You'll get plenty of time for your character and your tablemates characters to interact and build stories!

I deal with rules issues by...

Coming to a compromise on the rule, possibly finding an in between that still makes the rule work.

My games focus on...

Character interaction and heavy roleplay. I allow my players to interact quite frequently and integrate their story often into the overarching campaign so that everyone feels involved and can show off their roleplaying prowess.

Rules are...

Keep the table fun, have some respect for your fellow players. I also have some mechanics that I like to use like recursive criticals and shared initiative.

Featured Prompts

I love it when a player

writes in depth backstories for their characters using the lore I've made. It tells me they care about fitting into the world while also making such an incredible character.

My perfect party mix is

5-6 party members who love in depth roleplaying at the table just as much as I do.

My table is not the place for...

Bigotry. Everyone is welcome at my tables, no matter your walk of life or how you identify.
