I became a GM because
I realized instead of playing one character in a game, I can play multiple as a GM and enrich the interactions between players.
My favorite books are
The entire Dragonlance series, Drizzt series, and Inheritance Cycle.
How Jason runs games
I create the games custom to the player table. Session 0 starts this discussion where talk about what type of game the players find the most interesting. I could run the same game with different tables of players and the game look total different based on what the players enjoy. I use the goals that players have set for their characters as a guide for the game to keep them engaged and make it feel like an open world environment.

I deal with rules issues by...
Rulings before rules, we as a table will talk through the issue and come to a consensus to resolve the issue and apply that throughout the game.
My games focus on...
allowing players to explore their characters to the fullest extent!
Jason's ideal table
People that are excited to work together to tell their character's story. Whether it be through political intrigue or a hack and slash dungeon crawl.

I think metagaming...
isn't great for players or game masters. Even as a game master I don't give you items or abilities just to render them useless during the game.
I think min/maxing...
is fine as long as you don't mind the opposing npc's and monsters min/max as well!
