About Jorge Shaft
Hello! My name is Jorge (say it like "George", please. I beg you.) I am a guy with way too active an imagination. I have 11 world building projects in my head, am writing 3 novels and love cats (which is probably unrelated but worth mentioning). Been playing RPGs for many years, but really committed in 2019, and started GMing in 2020. To me, GMing is as natural as breathing. I am a teacher in real life and love teaching new players the things that really matter; fun, imagination and improvisation. Why not come along and join in for some fun? :)

How Jorge Shaft runs games
I am a novel writer and avid world builder, and I find myself setting things up in a very methodical way. The world will be obsessively detailed, NPCs varied, the spectre of the BBEG an influence felt across the setting. The world will be as real as a heart attack. All it needs is some fun-loving, unpredictable PCs to make the actually cool moments happen! Players are the most valuable ingredient in this world- the crafty adventurers who change it, in ways I could only guess! As such I tend to reward passionate role-play, clever plans and, above all, the rule of cool.

The players! My philosophy is to world build in great detail, to know everything about the world itself... and then let the players direct the story that actually happens within.

Guidelines. They exist to facilitate fun, giving a loose scaffolding from which a magnificent edifice may be built!

I will try my best. I promise my voice acting to be terrible despite actual voice training. :D
Jorge Shaft's ideal table
My table is an accepting, open one. There are no stupid questions, no strict railroads, no hard limits on your character (except for ones necessitated by the story- which will be made very clear before the session even starts). I like players who use their imaginations. I mean this both in terms of coming up with creative solutions I never expected and in terms of liberally filling in backstories, exploring the world, spontaneously having deep in character chats with their fellow players.

Thinks up of a solution I never considered. For example, I remember one session where the players decided to look for a beehive, using it as an effective distraction in battle with the main villain.
I think min/maxing...
Is fine, it's your character, though I will ensure the enemies are stronger to match a party full of min/maxing. All that statistical effort needs to pay off, after all!
My table is not the place for...
Bullying. Everyone is here to have fun, I will not tolerate such behaviour towards another player.
