About me
Hi there my name is Nathan. I have lived in Australia all my life and am currently working at a swimming pool. No no I'm not a lifeguard or even a swim teacher, I am the guy that books in schools and sports companies for their swimming lessons and for sports such as water polo. So why am I here you may be asking? Well I've been running dnd games for the last 4 years and I absolutely love it. In fact I've even worked for a company (side hustle while I am at the pool) called awakened fables who ran dnd games live at pubs. When I found out about this website I immediately joined because getting paid to do what you love should be everyone's goal in life right?
GM Style
My style is all about fun and your fun is what's most important to me. I consider myself quite adaptable to the situation to be able to provide what is needed for your fun. I will run games that require roleplay, combat, exploration, puzzle solving etc. I tend to have a bit of everything in my games rather than it being one big combat simulator or being non stop roleplay with no combat just as 2 examples. I run games as rules as written and don't use any homebrew however that being said I like to reward creativity and try to only say no when what you ask is outright impossible. so I guess you could say it's rules as written until you want to do something Unique then I go with the rule of cool. I use a system called talespire to give you a visual of what's going on. We will use talespire for any combat sessions we have but also so you can see what the city, town etc looks like first hand. Talespire is a downloadable program from steam that gives you a more 3D realistic view of the map, characters and monsters. There is a paid version and a free version of talespire on steam. You will only require the free version to play.

I feel that Nathan has a talent for quickly figuring out what the players want from the game and making adjustments on the fly to give it to them. He is ready to embrace the playstyle of those at the table. A contagious enthusiasm is shared at the table when he is GMing, which makes everything better. He also applies great visual and musical aid to the scenes, helping you get immersed

Nathan is an amazing DM! Super friendly and really immersed us into the world we were playing in while letting the group have fun with all sorts of wacky shenanigans. Under his guidance, a group of players that were complete strangers minutes ago played together as if we'd known each other for years!

Have played with Nathan for years now and been a part of few games with him as the DM and he's always done a great job! Always ready to work with the players to include their characters backstories creatively into his games and makes you really feel like you're a part of the world. The battles always feel action packed and fast paced giving everyone the chance to have their heroic moments. He's very patient with new players and is always willing to help out and share his knowledge. You can feel the effort he puts into the worlds he creates and I would highly recommend any campaign he runs!

Nathan was my first DnD DM to host a game for a group I play with and I can say he is very enthusiastic about ensuring we all are having fun whether its making our characters or during exploring and even combat scenario's every game is an enjoyable experience while Nathan is the DM. I've played in a number of D&D games run by Nathan and always had a great time. He knows the rules deeply and is good at guiding the group without taking over. He sets things up so players talk and roleplay with each other, which makes the game feel more fun and connected. Nathan is also really helpful when it comes to building characters. He listens to your ideas and helps you find ways to make them work in the story. He gives clear direction and keeps things moving without it feeling rushed. I'd definitely play in one of his games again and recommend him as a DM.
