About me
My name is Alec, I'm a 28 yr old man, and I've been a GM for various tabletops since I was 16. I remember my friends all complaining that nobody would DM for them so I stepped up to the plate and have been a forever DM since. I'm open to running pretty much any RPG setting being much more familiar with fantasy, but I've also ran a solid handful of sci-fi games. I'm pretty quick to catch onto TTRPG systems and am most familiar with Cyberpunk Red, D&D 5e, and some Pathfinder 2e. Feel free to reach out if you want a specific module or ruleset ran for you and I'd be happy to oblige!
GM Style
I would describe my style as a split down the middle of comedy and sincerity. Yes the world you're playing in will be vast with serious stakes, ideals, and goals that happen around you as you try to navigate through it, but it would be unrealistic for no jokes to happen along the way. The dragon that's been terrorizing the town will have a weakness for baked goods, or the high priestess of the temple overrun with corruption will simply need a good backrub to be convinced to help the party. Of course most grand quests will be serious with trickery, politics, and combat abound. I'm pretty proud of my combat encounters. I find myself often able to improv unique and memorable encounters if need be, with the more prepared sessions bringing greater memorability and strategy. Death will be a real threat in my games. It will be an earned death more than likely, but adventurers are also apt to die in the lower levels.

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Knows the Rules
Rule of Cool
He has solid worldbuilding and npc interactions. The world and people will feel natural with some room for fun and shenanigans provided they enhance the game for the party. Combat feels appropriate but still dangerous. He allows room for creative problem solving that doesn't break the game. He is considerate and pleasant to interact with.
Alec made sure that everyone at the table was enjoying the session, whether brand new to the tabletop experience or a veteran. He would allow the for the more creative solutions to problems while maintaining immersion into his story, inspiring the newer players to start thinking of "what would my character do in this moment", and allowing those that knew the mechanics to play their characters to their full potential (within reason of course). The party is chained to a rock with no way to get out? The undead barbarian rips himself in half because he didn't need legs anyways. There was never a dull moment, and he truly allowed you to be what you envisioned your character as.
I had a lot of good moments with this DM in the limited time I played with him. He did a great job handling plot points and diverging story choices, which ultimately I think revealed his great strength at allowing player creativity. He ran what I would consider my first real game, and he did a good job at allowing for my flavor and rule of cool antics.
I was fairly new when I joined his group, and his patience and vast knowledge made it very easy to break the dreaded "will this group last?" D&D curse, iykyk. We've all been playing over a year now together and all of our growth has been because of Alec's guiding hands. 20/10 will campaign with them again.
