About Etherdawn
I've been playing TTRPGS for the better part of 10 years now, mainly as the DM. I'm curretly running three long term campaigns my currently longest ongoing campaign being over four years long. I'm 22 and currently getting my second degree in game development within game design right now, making games and running them isn't just my passion but it's part of my professional life. With a focus on a mixture of difficulty and rule of cool I think myself as DM that tries to favor story without forgoing the dice and systems that the story is based around. However most importantly I want everyone to feel like they aren't just a part of the story, but a part of a different world. Credit: _ffeivel on Twitter for the banner art.

My favorite books are
Rangers Apprentice, honestly amazing book series. One that I'd recommend anyone to read, it mixes fantasy and realism in just the right way to create a believable story. Highly recommend it.
My favorite shows/movies are
I LOVE Adventure Time, by far my favorite show of all time and I take a lot of inspiration from it, the crazy adventures while still feeling tied down and focusing on the smaller aspects of life, as well as the grand adventures has made me rewatch the show multiple times.
My favorite system of all Time is
Lancer! The mech TTRPG. Honestly as much as I love DnD Lancer by Mastrif press makes is so easy to both play and GM. It's casual at a base level but the deeper you go and look the more complex and advanced things get.
How Etherdawn runs games
Preparation with focus on improv, I try my best to prepare for a session with maps, draft and so on, but when running open world campaigns with NO restrictions, where the players are free to go any direction they want improvisation will always be the core of my style. I love doing character voices, even if they don't always come out the best, but maybe that's part of the fun! Focusing on combat I try to run tactical combat that the players can always overcome, should they find the right stategy, and if the dice gods favor them on that day. Difficulty is part of all my campaigns, but failure to succeed doesn't mean the end of a campaign, but rather the start of a new chapter. Having the ability to fail without a TPK has become something really important to me.
