About Madame Moiselle (Mads)
I am a geeky drama therapist (in training!) who plans to work with TTRPGs as a part of my practice- which will be once I get my license! Right now its just having fun in the theatre of the mind. I've been running games professionally for a good two years at this point, though 70% was teaching/playing with people attending a young adult residential. The other 30% is online with some awesome people. I lean towards the rule of cool side of things, but rules as written help make the game a bit more difficult and fun. Usually, if you can make a case for it, I'll go with it. I have a BFA in acting- so expect silly voices. Personal character voices also encouraged, cause hey, its fun. Come play with me! (I speak these geek dialects - TMNT, star wars, star trek, firefly, LOTR, Critical Role, BG3, Dr. Who, Disney, and a few others to a lesser degree. )

I ran my first game...
...professionally over on a friend's server, since I could make a bit of extra scratch while going to school. I found that all of the new fangled toys for DMs made everything WAY easier, and started taking on more time slots. Now I'm trying my own profile, spreading my... wings! (IYKYK)
I started running games because...
...my fellow sober geeks wanted to play a game, and yours truly decided to pick up the mantle of DM. It was Dragon of Icespire Peak, and to this day it is the adventure I love to run above all others. I always make sure the original player's characters are somewhere in the game.
People are always surprised when I tell them
I didn't see the recent D&D movie until May of this year (2026). I was real worried, ok! I didn't want to see it if it was going to suck! Newsflash- it didn't suck. Now I cry out JARNATHAN and every barbarian gets a potato.
How Madame Moiselle (Mads) runs games
Rule of cool guided by rules as written. My goal is to have a look at ourselves through characters and choices with curated groups of players. What does that mean? Mostly just being aware of what's going on inter and intrapersonally (inside yourself and between you and the other players)- chances to talk it out before and after. Nothing laborious, just... thoughtful. I don't guarantee a battle each session, cause forcing one in a story can feel manufactured and disconnected, but battle is important to my storytelling. Battle in a ttrpg is about thinking ahead, anticipation vs chance, and rolling along with disappointments or things not going the way we hoped or planned, especially when involving other players.
Madame Moiselle (Mads)'s ideal table
My table is for people willing to laugh, to collaborate, and to talk things out. My table is for people who are ready to discover their character's story- not to know what it is ahead of them and push that narrative.
