🎲 Hey there, adventurer! Board games have been a lifelong tradition in my family and when my stepdaughter asked for Dungeons & Dragons one Christmas, we dove in headfirst and never looked back. I started as a player, but soon found my true calling behind the screen as a Dungeon Master. Since then I’ve run games for friends, family, and online players from all walks of life, ranging from complete beginners to seasoned vets. While D&D 5e is my mainstay, I’ve also explored systems like Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Pathfinder, and Torchbearer, and I’m always excited to try something new. ✨ My GM Style: I’m a laid-back but passionate DM who lets players set the pace and tone. I come prepared but love the surprises my players throw at me; I’m here to build the story with you, not railroad it. I became a GM because when we were first getting into DnD my wife was our GM and I was a player. One day she decided to DM for a friend and she had so many players join, the group was too big and had to be split. I took over the spill over and had a lot of fun DMing and have been doing it since.

My favorite books are

While Im not much of a reader these days, of the books I've read I'd say my favorite would have to be the Sword of Truth novels by Terry Goodkind, those really sucked me in, and Frank Herbert's Dune saga. I loved reading Dune as a teenager and have always been sucked into that world of sci-fi.

When I'm not running games I'm...

When Im not running games I spend my time doing various things to prep for them. I like converting the source books maps into Virtual Table Top maps and when Im not doing that I enjoy playing various board games with my family. Games are a big part of me and I just really enjoy playing them.

I deal with rules issues by...

I deal with rules issues by clearing them up as fast as possible. I tackle any issues before session starts and if one arises in session I make a quick decision to move the story along and if I was wrong I clear it up by next session. The rules are there to facilitate the game not dictate it.

My games focus on...

My games focus on telling an engaging and immersive story. I like the players feel like they are living in this world and they are these people. I want the players to leave each session itching to know what is going to happen in the next in the story.

When it comes to voices

When it comes to voices I do my best to make each NPC unique and different from the rest and give all NPCs whether they are creatures or people a distinct voice and personality. Full disclosure I have at times in the past forgotten which voice I use for whom and mixed them up at times.

My table is great for all types of players both beginner and veteran alike. The vibe of my table is very open, communicative and chill. Players should feel safe to speak up about what they want or are expecting without any backlash. I try to keep the energy high and the game moving along swiftly while still leaving room open for constructive table talk and theory crafting at times whatever that might entail.

I love it when a player

I love it when a player really plays into their class and finds constructive and clever ways to use their abilities to tackle problems. I love it when they come up with out of the box ideas that require me to do a little research and really consider what is the scope and limit of their power.

I think min/maxing...

I think min/maxing is fun. I understand its not for everyone and not the goal for a lot of players but for me, I always build to create the best and most versatile character I can. That being said if its a players goal to min/max Im not necessarily going to tailor the campaign to facilitate that.
