About Martin | Happy Hermit
Welcome, traveler! Come join me by the pyre, and I shall tell you a tale most vile. I have been running games for over seven years, starting with systems like D&D 5e and later moving to Pathfinder 2e, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade. I love regularly exploring new systems. My number one priority when you join my campaigns is simple: everyone has fun. That is the lens I do everything through. I want my players to feel free to express themselves and try out their ideas in a safe environment—and, of course, to enjoy that spooky atmosphere. I feel most excited about a game when it doesn’t go the way I planned. I love seeing players take the story in new and unexpected directions. This is make-believe in a world of imagination and stories. All are welcome to join in and tell their tale, no matter who they are. At the table, only the characters remain—and they can be whatever you dream up. Come join me today so that we may begin the play!

I became a GM because
My mind is constantly buzzing with ideas, always looking for a way out. I started GMing to give those ideas a place to live. In a game, my imagination is the only limit—I can make goats dance, have the reaper play the banjo, and bend the laws of physics to my will.
My favorite books are
Currently, my favorite series are He Who Fights With Monsters, The Gentleman Bastard Sequence, and—when it comes to horror—nothing beats the first three books of the Rune Seeker series.
When I'm not running games I'm...
You can usually find me reading the next LitRPG series, building worlds in a game, or banging my head to some great music. On rare occasions, you might also catch me behind a guitar, trying to figure out a song that’s been stuck in my head for days.
How Martin | Happy Hermit runs games
Having fun comes first! I run my games as a mix of RP and combat. I help my players with their characters so that they can express their characters to the fullest in combat. I do voices when ever I can. I love player ideas so I try to support them when they appear, in combat and out of it.

My games focus on...
Mystery, horror, Whimsy and Wonder.
Rules are...
Rules are a tool. If they get in the way then they can be changed. I generally stick to them but if they don't make sense in the moment then then they will be bent.
When it comes to voices
I love doing voices. They help me get into the character. My strengths are dastardly grannies and mad scientists!
Martin | Happy Hermit's ideal table
My table is for trying out ideas. We play in a world of imagination that doesn't effect the world outside of it, so feel free to try experiment and play around with the world. The only thing that can happen is you have fun.

I am for a vibe that's...
I aim for experimentation. My games are a safe place for trying things out without fear. If you make a character and three sessions later feel that it doesn't work then things can always be changed. Feel free to express and try stuff!
I love it when a player
I love it when a player comes up with something that I didn't think of. For me the most boring session is the one that goes exactly according to plan.
My table is not the place for...
My table is not the place for just testing builds. I put a lot of effort into including characters into the story and fights. My games include a healthy amount of fighting but they are not the sole focus of it.
