About Swords and Sorcery
I've been running roleplaying games since 1980 in person, and GM'ing games on-line since January 2025 I play "rule of cool" and I look forward to roleplay with you!

I became a GM because
someone needed to, and the guy who ran our first game was too busy!
My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
Hero system (Champions) - my all-time favourite system, for its ability to build a well-balanced character exactly as you imagine them; D&D for its popularity and because it was "my first"; Warhammer The Old World - a new and fast-playing game in my favourite setting
My favorite system of all Time is
Champions (superhero; it's also called Hero system)
How Swords and Sorcery runs games
I run "rule of cool" fantasy roleplaying games with lots of player-NPC interaction. If it's reasonable under the circumstances, do it! Imagination rules.

I deal with rules issues by...
deciding quickly, and moving on. If I got something wrong, we'll fix it after. Let the players play, and figure out the rules-glitch later
My games focus on...
having fun, not getting bogged down, allowing players to be as heroic as possible
When it comes to voices
I do as many as I can! I'm not Matt Mercer, but I do lots of voices
Swords and Sorcery's ideal table

I love it when a player
has an inventive or creative idea about what to say or do that advances the story.
I think min/maxing...
can be annoying to others when taken too far, and can ruin the game if it unbalances the game or monsters vs other characters. There is a place for making effective characters for sure, and the GM needs to make sure it isn't taken to such an extreme that other characters are relatively ineffectual
My perfect party mix is
Players who each participate and contribute what their players are doing, and ideas and goals and roleplay amongst themselves and NPCs, and are also respectful of giving other players space and time for their characters to do likewise.
