Hello there. My name is James, and I have been playing D&D for several years and have tipped my toes into the deep-end of the pool that is being a Dungeon Master, mostly for in person game nights, but being from a small Canadian town find myself with the same problem a lot of people do. [Finding a table that can meet up consistently!] I have been using StartPlaying myself as a player for a while now and have played in some wonderful tables that have given me the inspiration to try to run my own! So here I am. As a Dungeon Master I value fun above all else and absolutely love the collaborative storytelling that only this unique hobby seems to create! I love creating stories with friends, being able to be the narrator and the driving force behind a story and a world is something I think is so incredible and being able to share that with people with the same passion for it as I have is something so unique to TTRPGs

How realFoxtrot runs games

The thing about TTRPGs in general is that it provides us a platform to really let our imagines and creativity take the forefront! I love creating with my players, whether that's in a challenging combat scenario that allows them to think on their toes and let's their tactical brain take the lead with unique strategies, or if that's weaving their characters and their stories into the grander picture of the world we build together! I'm a big believer in that old saying that "Rules are just the guidelines" and that the sourcebooks and handbooks are a wonderful foundation to build on, but if certain things get in the way of a truly fun and immersive experience then we can build on top and around them to find the version we all love! Dungeons & Dragons is a wonderful, imaginative and creatively inspiring game. I just want to be a vessel for some of that, so if you're looking to create a rewarding and entertaining story together than pull up a chair and let's roll some dice!
