About Macey

I started to play DM Dungeons and Dragons in order to bring my family closer. I realized it enjoyed weaving stories together and wanted to DM more often.

I got started GMing...

I got started GMing to bring my siblings closer. We needed an activity to bring us back together and we all loved DnD. I volunteered to GM and everyone loved it. My first several sessions were... Let's just say there has been a lot of growth.

My favorite books are

Anything Romance, thriller or mystery. I can't decide on one single favorite book. I need a bit of spooky mystery with a mix a love in it.

How Macey runs games

I like to make sure that people have a fun time. You want to seduce the dragon? You have to roleplay how before you roll. You most likely won't seduce it, but we can have fun roleplaying it. I still play by the rules, but I also make sure that we have fun. If the rule makes it that we don't have fun we can evaluate why it might not be fun. I like roleplay heavy games. Roleplaying is important in order to build a good DnD party, especially with strangers online. I do have battles and a little amount of puzzles in my games.

I think metagaming...

Is going to be done no matter what. Asking what your character will know is a better idea. I like to make rolls based on what characters may or may not know and roll with that.

I think min/maxing...

Can be great in the right times. If you only min/max for battles it can be boring, but if you min/max to make your character strong but also make stupid decisions in battle that can be fun to deal with. A strong character with a lot of flaws in and out of battle is someone that can be fun to play.
