About Maeve
I'm a neurodivergent lifelong Nerd/Punk/Goth, a writer, and a teacher, and I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons and TTRPGs for decades. I love stories, so my games are narrative and character driven. I live for creativity, drama, and comedy at the table with some combats sprinkled in because sometimes the story takes us there, and sometimes it takes us there a lot. Above anything my first priority is player safety. Telling a good story together requires some vulnerability. No one will will dip a single toe into being vulnerable if they don't feel safe. My games are always BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent-friendly and safe, and I am always striving to create a safe and encouraging space for everyone.

How Maeve runs games
I'm here for the story. Nothing makes me happier than when everyone at the table becomes so immersed in the game and their character that the world as we know it disappears and the world of the characters comes to vivid life. I love great roleplaying, character development, and the thrill and terror of combat. As a teacher and a writer, I bring my knowledge and love of stories and characters to the game. I also bring my love of this game because at the end of the day, we all love to play these games. A game with me would include lots of fascinating and interactive NPCs, making sure every player got their share of the spotlight, help for beginners, a safe table space, nail biting combat, and wonderfully detailed and suspenseful stories that will leave you wishing it was next week already.

Rules are...
Rules are there to give us a framework to tell the story. But the story comes first over the minutiae of the rules, a.k.a. the rule of cool.
Maeve's ideal table
My ideal table is when, over the course of a session, the players are deeply engaged (to the point they don't realize hours have past), so immersed in their characters they start to sweat when things get dicey, and laughing and cheering each other on. Fun, my ideal table is fun like slipping into your favorite book or show.
