About Jason
Hey I'm Jason! I GM and produce the actual play show Memester Of The Week, and I've been doing that since 2020. In addition to that I've run crossovers with other podcasts in the space, as well as game days in Tokyo. I love creating a world with my players and then exploring that together.

How Jason runs games
"Describe what happens the way you would see it in a movie". Thats the concept from Monster of the Week that drew me in as a player and gm, and what I try to bring out at every table I run. Games with me are very roleplay driven, and I love a dangerous combat that will allow players feel like heroes, not exterminators. I want my players to go on a journey with their characters, and by the end of the last session, that character will have changed, ready for a new world. So if your looking for a game that's - roleplay driven - cinematic - has high stakes combat - and takes your character on a journey Let's roll some characters up.

I prep by
Researching any real life local I might be including. Checking my Pc backstories and playbooks/classes tosee what the players are telling me they want. Then coming up with threats, locations, npcs, whatever the game might call for. Finally, I might write a cold open for the game session.
My games focus on...
Character driven narratives. I'm really interested in helping facilitate people to tell a story and contribute to it, so i try and tie major plot points to the PCs.
Rules are...
a guideline. Play to the themes and tone we all have agreed on in session zero and we can go on a wild ride together.
Jason's ideal table
Open inititive, free flow of thought, but being respectful and not talking over each other. It's all fun and games untill the consequences of our actions come along. Players that love to roleplay are highly encouraged in my games, we love to commit to a bit.

Collaborative storytelling
I love it when a player
chooses what feels the most interesting, not necessarily whats the most optimized.
My perfect party mix is
serious guy who gets to be unserious, unserious guy suddenly becomes serious, otherworldly creature is somehow the most normal among them.
