About chris: goblin approved gm

Hi! My name is Chris. I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs, primarily Dungeons & Dragons, for 4 years and have 3 years of experience as a Game Master. I enjoy creating collaborative, player-focused sessions where everyone’s voice is heard and valued. I run both homebrew worlds and traditional adventures, with a focus on giving players the freedom to explore, roleplay, and make meaningful choices. I prioritize the players’ experience, providing personalized lore for each character to help them immerse themselves in the world and stand out at the table. My style emphasizes fun, creativity, and collaboration. I believe in the rule of cool—if it makes the game more enjoyable for the group, I’m flexible with the rules. Sessions are chill but engaging, with a balanced mix of roleplay, problem-solving, and tactical combat. Every player’s story matters, and I aim to create memorable experiences for the whole table.

How chris: goblin approved gm runs games

in my games, players are the heart of the story. I run open-world homebrew campaigns where your choices matter, and every character has opportunities to shine. I balance roleplay and tactical combat, usually including one dynamic combat encounter per session, so the story stays flowing without slowing down the narrative. I provide personalized lore for each character one-page secrets and backstory details that only your character knows so you can fully immerse yourself and feel unique at the table. My combat often uses homebrew tweaks like removing opportunity attacks to make fights more engaging, but all rules are discussed during Session 0 so everyone is on the same page. Overall, my games are collaborative, fun, and player-focused, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and memorable stories. Whether you enjoy dramatic roleplay, clever problem solving, or exciting combat, there’s a place for you at my table.

chris: goblin approved gm's ideal table

My ideal table is one full of friends. What matters most to me isn’t the individual playstyles of my players, but that they’re a cohesive group who genuinely enjoys each other’s company. if you enjoy telling a story more than running through plotless dungeon crawls, my table is open to you. And if you enjoy cracking jokes with friends while still keeping things loosely pointed toward the plot my table is open to you as well.
