About Spenser
I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons since I was 13, starting with 3.5e. My brothers and I learned from my uncle, then took it to high school clubs, then to adult functions, and then to discord groups, and my journey has led me here, writing adventures for strangers, singing for my coin, as it happens. I've taken voice acting and improv classes, and my favorite thing in game is when my players can enjoy role playing, and feel free talking. I'm excited to start this journey with you all!

My favorite books are
The Dresden Files. Or Wheel of Time. Or The Mistborn Trilogy. Or ACOTAR. Or....
When I'm not running games I'm...
Writing for my homebrew, watching anime, or playing video games. I LOVE video games like Stardew Valley, or Pokemon!
How Spenser runs games
As a dungeon master, my favorite things are role play, and intense combats. I generally run a game that balances around 50% role play, 50% combat. I also enjoy dungeon design and fun puzzles, where role play takes a quick back seat to pound down a meticulously balanced dungeon crawl experience!

I once ran a session...
from a hospital bed. I really needed that game therapy to relax me, let me tell you!
My favorite trope is...
I'm a sucker for a tragic victory. It makes me feel so bad when I make you choose between saving orphans and saving animals, but watching you squirm and struggle makes you grow! Or... your character, at least.
Spenser's ideal table
My ideal table is made of Mahogany, probably with 6 legs, to give it added stability. It also has cupholders already in it. I guess if I had to describe my perfect gaming session, though, it would have a bunch of best friends who all like making complex characters with different motivations who all work well as a team, even if their hopes and dreams might be different from each other...

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
roleplay. I love roleplay. I love putting on voices and pretending to be a lion guy, or a robot ninja, or a bard who's struggling to pay all his child supports.
I think min/maxing...
has a place. It's not for everyone, and it can detract from the people who dislike it. But I don't actively discourage wanting to get everything from your character. I just ask that if you do, you help others somewhat, too.
