About Diego
Hi! I'm GM Diego. I've been playing TTRPGS for about a decade, GMing for a little over 5 years, and loving it more every day. Most of my experience is with D&D 5th edition, but I've also run games with Call of Cthulhu, Dread, Blades in the Dark and more recently Daggerheart. I'm an architect by training (expect to see maps) and a lover of weird fiction, the strange and surreal, the fantastic and magical. I like introducing these elements into my games, whether in a whimsical or darker fashion. I love the feeling of getting lost in a fictional world, and nothing makes me happier than creating those experiences for other people.

I became a GM because
I love the fun of making stories with others.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Making up worlds, drinking coffee, watching movies, drawing maps, drinking coffee, contemplating the joy and horror of being alive, eating bread, drinking coffee, having just the weirdest dream.
How Diego runs games
I like GMing games that give players the chance to explore, investigate and poke at the world. Nothing makes me happier than when players take me by surprise, and I meassure the success of a session by the amount of laughter, gasping, celebration, dread (the good kind) and/or joy at the table. I love taking what the players give me and weaving it into the fabric of the world. If you're excited about your character, I'm excited about your character! Although I love narrative and roleplay, I also have a knack for the tactical, and like to create interesting challenges within the fiction, whether combat or puzzles. I bring a lot of homebrew content to my games. Thank you for reading, and I hope we get a chance to play!

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Guillermo del Toro... and occasionally David Lynch.
Diego's ideal table
I like the storytelling aspect of the game, and like players who engage with it: they like having interesting characters, exploring the world, talking to each other, trying weird stuff. I approach the game with the assumption thet we're all in it to have a good time, in good faith, respecting each other. I like to provide big challenges that frame the fiction, whether its grand, majestic combat, or great mysteries to solve.

I love it when a player
-Takes me by surprise by thinking outside the box! -Interacts with the world, asks questions, takes interest. -Roleplays with the other players. -Has fun!
My table is not the place for...
Being rude, being hateful or treating other people only as sources of entertainment, and not actual human beings.
