About Dicey Adventures

I’ve been a Game Master for over 20 years. With all this time and passion into this hobby, I still feel like I’m learning, growing, and expanding my horizons as a GM. I started with Dungeons & Dragons 3.0 and played through many editions. However, Pathfinder has captivated me the longest. A system, setting, and company I love. I've been there through 1st and 2nd Edition, and enjoy the mechanics, lore, and world building. I works to add to Golarion in my own way. I welcome both brand-new players and veterans alike. Whether you’re learning the rules for the first time or have years of experience under your belt, I strive to create a table where everyone feels comfortable and engaged. Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy, so don't worry if your new. Games are run on Foundry VTT. Let’s tell an unforgettable story together.

How Dicey Adventures runs games

I enjoy challenging games and appreciate a good Souls-like sense of danger and accomplishment. That said, I also believe fun comes first. While I enjoy Pathfinder’s encounter design, I sometimes find adventure structure can feel a little restrictive. My philosophy is I’d rather players be invested in overcoming a terrifying villain then be worn down by random high-difficulty encounters along the way. RP is highly encouraged at my table. The more effort and creativity you bring to your character and the story, the more I’ll work to build meaningful moments around it to create collaborative storytelling and experiences.

The type of players I welcome range from newbies to veterans. I just want to welcome players that are interested in the story, what can be brought to the table together whether it's RP, combat, a good time, and more. As long as you come to the table to have fun I'll do my best to deliver and maybe some scares and excitement along the way.

Dives into the role. When they play the character and not the system sometimes. You might throw me off at times, but that's what makes it fun is me trying to keep up and hopefully surprise you as well.

I think min/maxing...

You want to min/max that's fine, you want to play a particular character go for it. Just have fun playing what you want.

My perfect party mix is

It's more about the players. I'll take into consideration of the table if a system requires you to do, so I just want you to enjoy yourself. The perfect party is the one that comes to the table, leaves the baggage behind and is there to have fun playing pretend.
