About Aries
Where to start. I could not afford tabletop books when i was young, so I made my own system when I was 10. I worked on it for years and still run it for friends 15 years later and now do D&D for about half a decade. I run heavy RP games with puzzles in the combat and drop hints to the story as the game goes on. I love doing voice acting and will not use voice changers. I LOVE making everything custom. custom maps, story, stat blocks. I was told a lot by other DM's don't reinvent the wheel, but why not. why be like everyone else. making custom stuff for me is a lot of fun. if I can make the players go wow I have never seen or done that before. Then as a DM I have done my job, but if I have you a later still talking about it, then i have also done my job as a friend.

I became a GM because
I wanted to tell a story, to bring someone into a new world and let them get way from the day-to-day life. To have a good time and well there at work, think all day about the fun time they had, and what they can't wait to do next
When I'm not running games I'm...
Streaming and making my video game. I play lots of video games, some would say a bit to much. I love arts and crafts too
How Aries runs games
I am heavy RP, 70% RP to 30% combat with a lot of puzzles thrown into both the combat and RP. I keep combat fresh by making all custom monsters and people different in each combat. I pride myself on making the world feel alive by making NPCs have their own goals and tasks that they are trying to do well the party is doing their thing making the world not feel like it is ever at standstill. no Generic NPC 1 and 2 kinds of thing at my table. even the NPCs on the side of the road have a job to get to or a person to go see.

My games focus on...
RP and puzzles. combat comes into play when it makes sense, but you could have a whole session without combat or back-to-back ones as long as it fits what is going on in the story!
When it comes to voices
I LOVE VOICE ACTING!! and you may hear other DM's say they also do voices, but I bet you'll be blown away by mine
Aries's ideal table
players in love with RP, to have fun just to yap at the inn table about some BS or where they want to go. players who want to get creative, it's not about the numbers, some who would say. would it not be cool if i played a fighter with the magic feat so they are someone who wants to know magic but has a hard time? players who love hearing small details that may tell you who the real BBEG is?

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
RP, puzzles, and hearing little details that you find out later told you who the BBEG was.
I love it when a player
say "I have a dumb idea but." and if it works or not they make it a fun moment for everyone and roll with it.
I think min/maxing...
I think maxing if fine when done for the reasons but i think leave the flaw in. You can be the best sharpshooter in the world but you're afraid of heights. Your flaws are just as fun as your strengths
