I deal with rules issues by...
Making a quick decision on the spot and checking things between sessions. If a player knows the ruling, and I agree that it fits, we go with their suggestion. If its an easy rule to find, we do a quick search. If its a complicated rule, I tell the group "for now we do X, Ill check for next session"
