About Chase Panter

I became a Dungeon Master out of pure love for the game. Like many players, I struggled to find a consistent group—and especially a DM—so I decided to step behind the screen myself. What began out of necessity quickly turned into a passion. I’ve been running a long-term campaign for over six months, constantly learning, improving, and refining my craft with every session. I may not claim decades of experience, but what I do bring is dedication, creativity, and care for my players’ experience. I actively study the game, seek feedback, and put real thought into pacing, narrative, and player agency. My current players are deeply invested in the story we’re telling together, and I genuinely love DMing for them. I primarily use D&D Beyond for gameplay and character management, supported by tools like Session Keeper and ChatGPT to help brainstorm, organize lore, and enhance session preparation. These tools allow me to deliver richer worlds, clearer continuity, and more engaging sessions—without replacing creativity, only amplifying it. All games are run in D&D 5e within my homebrew sandbox world, Eldara—a living setting filled with original factions, mysteries, and evolving consequences shaped by player choice. Eldara is designed to grow over time, with the potential for shared history and even future cross-party collaboration. My goal is to create a world players feel truly connected to. While I’d love to eventually turn this passion into a full-time pursuit, my primary goal is simple: to create memorable stories, meaningful moments, and a table where everyone feels welcome and excited to play. On a personal note, I’m a U.S. Navy veteran, a husband, and a father of three young daughters—who I’ve already begun introducing to D&D. I value creativity, camaraderie, and having fun together, and I strive to bring those values to every table I run. If you’re looking for a DM who cares deeply about story, player choice, and building something lasting together—I’d love to roll some dice with you.

I got started GMing...

I DMed my first session a little over 6 months ago with my wife her fiend and one of my friends and it went just well enough to try another session. The next session was quite a bit better but we need more party members and when they join it got a lot more fun and I have gotten much better since.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

Inventive, open-minded and adventurous

When I'm not running games I'm...

Designing and writing the next session and when im not doing that im thinking about it. Otherwise I'll either be watching anime or build wood working projects in my shop.

How Chase Panter runs games

I’m an adventure-first Dungeon Master who thrives on player-driven storytelling. Whether the campaign leans toward mystery, horror, political intrigue, or classic high-fantasy adventure, I love leaning into what excites the table. Want to chase godhood? Play an edgy anti-hero? Optimize your character to the limit? I’m happy to support all of it—as long as it serves a great story and a fun, collaborative table. I run sandbox-style games where player choice genuinely matters. I’ll build a living, reactive world for you to explore, but how you engage with it—and the kind of legend you become—is entirely up to you. Expect a mix of political tension, dark secrets, puzzles, high-stakes combat, environmental storytelling, and ancient powers that feel woven directly into the land itself. Worldbuilding is my favorite part of DMing. I regularly design custom gear, spells, factions, and enemies tailored to the party and the story being told. I aim for encounters and rewards that feel cinematic, meaningful, and earned. While I use the rules as a framework to keep the game fair and clear, I strongly believe in the rule of cool. If something is clever, dramatic, or makes the table light up, I’ll usually find a way to make it work. At the end of the day, we’re here to have fun and tell a memorable story together. Tone & Content Expectations: My games generally lean toward serious, story-driven fantasy with room for humor and heroic moments. Depending on the campaign, themes may include political intrigue, moral complexity, survival elements, forbidden magic, ancient gods, and occasional atmospheric horror (never gratuitous). Player comfort always comes first. I do not include sexual violence, sexual content involving minors, or extreme content used purely for shock value. I’m always happy to discuss boundaries, tone preferences, and content limits before a campaign begins, and I welcome open communication and safety tools at the table. If you enjoy immersive worlds, meaningful choices, high stakes, and collaborative storytelling—while still laughing and having a good time—you’ll feel right at home at my table.

My games focus on...

I focus on having fun so I'll build the story around you and what you decide to do. That being said if you mess around you will most likely find out. I have found this game is so much more fun when I don't pull my punches for me and my players.

Rules are...

Rules are important but not the end all. I follow the rule of cool everytime I can without breaking the game as long as it makes since.

When it comes to voices

When it comes to voices I'll just go ahead and tell you I'm not voice actor. Sometimes I'll try and do the voices but most times I'll explain how it sounds. For example: Vance says with an Irish accent "Don't think of this as death... Think of it as data."

Chase Panter's ideal table

If you enjoy sandbox worlds that grow and evolve through play, you’ll feel right at home at my table. I love long-term storytelling where player decisions matter, consequences carry forward, and the world changes in response to your actions. My table is collaborative, inclusive, and respectful. I’m always happy to explore creative ideas, character concepts, and unique approaches to problem-solving. If there’s a rule, option, or resource you’re interested in using, I’m open to discussing it and doing the research needed to make it work smoothly. While gameplay is taken seriously, the table atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Questions are welcome, mistakes are part of learning, and no one is expected to know everything. I aim to keep sessions moving while ensuring everyone feels comfortable, heard, and engaged. Above all else, I value good communication and mutual respect. As long as players treat one another kindly and contribute to a positive table dynamic, I’m willing to try just about anything that leads to a better story and a more enjoyable game for everyone.

I am for a vibe that's...

The vibe That suits me best is serious story telling with a sprinkle of humor.

I love it when a player

I love when players really get into their characters and find clever ways to deal with situations. If you find a way to derail what I've prepped for I wont get upset I'll take that as a challenge and prep even harder next time.

My table is not the place for...

This is game where we should all be able to have fun and that starts with showing people respect. Ill have a talk with you the first couple if times you make someone uncomfortable but if you continue to be an issue I'll have to ask you to find a new group to play with that may suit you better.
