About Cory P

Hi! I'm Cory and I cannot wait to run for you! After a decade's experience, I like to fancy myself a bit of a 'horror specialist' in the TTRPG realm. My mission as your GM is to be your Virgil—your guide through an immersive world of mystery and intrigue. I view GMing as an art form—a craft I sharpen every single day. I run these games because I am passionate about our shared story. I am excited to collaborate with you on a campaign we will remember forever. Let's Play!

I became a GM because

"I love this thing we do," I love TTRPGS, I love spending creative time with my friends, and I love storytelling. But more than anything I love having the opportunity to create something other people love. To make even just a moment in time we will both remember forever. Now that's poetry.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be

Pathfinder 2e for Fantasy Call of Cthulhu 7e for Horror Dadlands for Comedy

When I'm not running games I'm...

I am an avid sports fan, I own and operate a small local business in my area, and I rescue pitbulls and senior pups.

How Cory P runs games

Narrative First. Improv Heavy. My goal is to offer a balanced, immersive experience—delivering high-stakes drama and intrigue without sacrificing the joy of playing a game with friends. I am a "narrative-first" GM who isn't afraid to tinker with the rules if it serves the story or keeps the pacing tight. I welcome both battle-hardened veterans and complete newcomers. My top priority is creating a safe, inclusive table where you feel comfortable taking risks and fully exploring your character. To me, the perfect session isn't when I'm talking—it's when I can sit back in silence for ten minutes, watching the party debate, scheme, and roleplay amongst themselves. That is when the world comes alive.

My favorite trope is...

"The city was hot that day, my little office felt like and oven roasting in stale whiskey and sweat when there was a knock at my door. She was long, blonde, and decked out from her lips to her toes in red. She smelled like old money and new problems." I will always be a sucker for Noir anything.

My games focus on...

a cinematic narrative designed to feel like an immersive experience.

Rules are...

"The code? Well, the code is more like guidelines ya see." Rules are very important, but they are not more important than fun. I am a narrative first GM that will usually rule on the side of story over strict mechanics.

Cory P's ideal table

I enjoy players who are invested in the mystery, who grab ahold of Role Play moments, and find ways to explore their character. Although we are not necessarily 'friends' outside of the table, at the table we can play the game as if we are.

I am for a vibe that's...

Cinematic Horror, High-Fidelity Audio, Narrative First.

I love it when a player

are not afraid to be uncomfortable. I love to help them explore different aspect of themselves and humanity that might press into their comfort zones.

My table is not the place for...

long winded rules debates. We play with the GM rulings and look up the rules in intersessions.
