About BigDaddyP
I played the original D&D a long time ago, then started back up with 5e in 2019. I have taught a bunch of players the ropes of D&D and it is my favorite thing to do! My table is LGBTQ+ friendly with safety measures that ensure everyone has a good time. If you have never played before, I am patient and kind.

Making art for my games. I use a combination of physical media like watercolor and drawing, and finish digitally in Photoshop.
How BigDaddyP runs games
The three pillars of D&D are Roleplay, Exploration, and Combat. I love introducing players to a balance of those three parts of the game and seeing which ones they prefer. If your idea of a good session is one where the players and NPCs talk and you never roll dice, that's great! If you want a challenge to the fighting-machine you have built, I can do that, too. One of my favorite tables was a West Marches adventure with over 20 players, so exploration is my thing as well. My players enjoy my vivid and funny characters, my intriguing locations, and my challenging combat, but what they like the most is that I know when to get out of the way and let them tell their own story. Let's begin yours!

I deal with rules issues by...
making snap decisions based on my knowledge. I am open to very brief discussion. If a player disagrees with my ruling, I promise to research the issue. Many of my games start with a Rules Check from the session before.
I once ran a session...
for fifteen people to end a West Marches campaign that had lasted five years. We also ran large sessions for a siege and a wedding.
When it comes to voices
I love to do them and I encourage players to try it out. My table is a safe space for experimentation.
BigDaddyP's ideal table
My table will be for beginners! If you have never played D&D before, or any TTRPG, I offer a safe environment to learn how to play - the mechanics as well as best practices for successful role-playing, exploration, and combat. The types of players that will fit well at the table are people who like to have fun and respect the choices of others.

I love it when a player
reinterprets my world building and creates something new and amazing that becomes part of the lore. This can be a creative addition or even a complete misunderstanding!
I think it's a red flag when players...
do not treat each other with respect. A lot of us have trauma or emotional damage and D&D is a safe place to explore those feelings, but not by passing your hurt onto others.
My table is not the place for...
stress-testing awesome builds. I have other tables for that, with advanced players who pore over YouTube videos searching for the combination of classes, feats, and species that result in the most damage-per-round or most broken use of minor spells. I love it, but not for beginners.
