About Bauric

I’ve been immersed in tabletop RPGs for decades, beginning with Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition and building from there into a long-term love of fantasy, storytelling, and collaborative play. Over the years, that passion has evolved into something more than simply running games. I care deeply about creating table experiences that feel polished, immersive, and worth investing in. As a GM, I focus on sessions that feel cohesive, well-paced, and responsive to the players at the table. I want your choices to matter, your character to feel rooted in the world, and every session to move the story forward in a meaningful way. Whether I’m running a one-shot or a long-form campaign, my goal is always to create a game that feels engaging from the first scene to the last. I take preparation seriously, I respect my players’ time, and I aim to make every game feel memorable, intentional, and alive. If you’re looking for a GM who values immersion, momentum, player agency, and a strong overall table experience, I’d be glad to welcome you to mine.

I became a GM because

I wanted to create the kind of immersive, story-rich table experience that keeps players invested from the first scene to the last.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

immersive, intentional, and engaging.

When I'm not running games I'm...

usually playing at other tables, refining ideas for future adventures, or tinkering with technology.

How Bauric runs games

I run story-rich, character-driven games where player decisions carry real weight and the world responds in meaningful ways. Roleplay matters, consequences matter, and every session is built to feel like it matters. Combat is purposeful, not filler. Roleplay is encouraged, not sidelined. The goal is always a game that feels immersive, memorable, and alive. I run both published campaigns and original adventures, but I rarely leave a story untouched. I like tightening pacing, deepening narrative threads, and tailoring the experience to the players at the table so the world feels more personal and responsive. Whether I’m adapting a classic adventure or building something from scratch, I focus on creating a table experience that feels polished, cinematic, and worth showing up for. My GM style is flexible, fair, and focused on flow. I respect the rules, but I prioritize clarity, momentum, and the Rule of Cool when it genuinely improves the experience. I use voices, atmosphere, and strong scene framing to bring the world to life while keeping the spotlight where it belongs: on the players and the story we’re building together.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...

Guillermo del Toro for the atmosphere and Peter Jackson for the scope, momentum, and adventure.

I prep by

building the world, tightening the pacing, and making sure the tools, encounters, and story beats are ready so immersion starts immediately.

Rules are...

best when they provide structure, momentum, and clarity, while still leaving room for smart rulings and the Rule of Cool when the moment earns it.

Bauric's ideal table

My ideal table is collaborative, immersive, and built on mutual respect. I’m looking for players who want to be part of the story, not just present for it. You do not need to be a voice actor or a rules expert, but you should care about your character, the world, and the experience the group is creating together. The players who thrive most at my table are engaged, proactive, and generous with the spotlight. If you enjoy making meaningful decisions, following the story where it leads, contributing to the group, and stepping into roleplay when the moment calls for it, you will fit in well here. I value players who help create memorable moments not only for themselves, but for everyone at the table. The tone of my games usually balances levity with real stakes. There is room for humor, chemistry, and those lighter moments that make a table feel alive, but not at the expense of tension, consequence, or emotional payoff. I run games where choices matter, the world responds, and actions carry weight. My goal is always a table culture that feels welcoming, communicative, respectful, and invested in building something memorable together.

I am for a vibe that's...

immersive, collaborative, engaging, and driven by momentum.

I love it when a player

makes a bold choice, solves a problem creatively, or surprises the table in a way that makes the story better.

I think it's a red flag when players...

use “my character would do this” as an excuse for bad table manners, spotlight-hogging, or disrespect toward the group.
