About Aurelian II
I’ve been GM-ing for about five years, mostly D&D 5e, and I’m starting to get into 3.5e. I like player-driven games and adjusting the tone to fit the story and setting, whether things are serious or more laid-back. Most of my experience is running games for friends, so I focus on keeping sessions fun, flexible, and easygoing, and I’m always happy to help with rules or learning the game.

I became a GM because
I wanted to play more 5e with my friends when we didn't have the sessions during gaming club while in college. After the first time I ran a session with them, I got hooked.
My favorite books are
Powder Mage Trilogy Riyria Revelations/Chronicles Legends Of The First Empire The Rise and Fall Gods of Blood and Powder
How Aurelian II runs games
My games mix combat and roleplay, with plenty of freedom for players to make choices that shape the story. I enjoy tactical encounters, environmental challenges, and letting creative solutions shine. The tone and focus adapt depending on the story and setting, and while I have a general outline, I love improvising and letting player decisions guide the plot. Everything is homebrew, with rich worldbuilding, lore, and opportunities for character development. Sessions usually run 3–4 hours and are part of longer story arcs, so there’s room for growth, adventure, and memorable moments.

I deal with rules issues by...
I usually make determinations on rules based entirely by the situation at hand and if reasonable logic can apply to such a situation. If it is something that can be feasibly done within the scope of the character based on race/class/background/etc. then it'll be allowed under the Rule of Cool
