About Adam

I’m Adam, a storyteller, actor, and seasoned Dungeon Master with nearly five years of experience running D&D campaigns. My passion lies in bringing epic tales to life — with theatrical voices, surprising character twists, and a healthy dose of mischief. Whether we're navigating tangled backstories or belly-laugh tavern hijinks, you’ll always feel like the story matters. At my table, everyone is welcome: new players who need help building a character, seasoned role-players who want deep arcs, and optimisers who love clever builds. I run on Foundry VTT and host a vibrant Discord with roleplay channels, meme zones, and space for worldbuilding. If you want a DM who’s invested in your story — let’s make some memories.

I became a GM because

I enjoyed being the 'Yes and' guy at the table. I love facilitating whatever bizarre ideas the party has and watching it snowball from there.

I got started GMing...

like many of us did, after the starter adventure, Lost Mines of Phandelver ! I fell in love with the game and after playing a dwarven cleric named Osrick (who died heroically in Wave Echo Cave), I decided to take up the DM mantle and start my journey.

How Adam runs games

Cinematic Roleplay & Vivid NPCs My acting experience means every NPC gets personality — from dramatic villains to comic relief tavern-dwellers. I bring scenes to life with voice, emotion, and character. Player Agency is King I strongly believe your choices should shape the story. I work with you to weave your backstories, desires, and quirks into the campaign narrative. Balanced Gameplay Expect a healthy mix of roleplay, exploration, and combat. I adapt to how you like to play: whether you lean into big tactical fight scenes or emotional, character-led moments. Rule of Cool Friendly If you come up with something wild, I’ll usually say “yes — and …” — as long as it’s fun and doesn’t break the game. Safety and Respect First Before we begin, I run a Session Zero to align on tone, expectations, and safety. I support tools like Lines & Veils and X Card — creating a space where everyone can feel comfortable and respected. Polished, Immersive Tech We’ll use Foundry VTT with clear maps, tokens, and visual flair. My setup is clean and user-friendly, whether you're a VTT veteran or a first-timer.

I once ran a session...

Where the players went to a music festival set in the Nine Hells. Heavily inspired by the Download music festival here in the UK - the players saw all their favourite demonic bands such as: - Crossbows and Roses - Flumph Fighters - Judas Cleric - AC:DC and many more!

Rules are...

More like guidelines than actual rules

Adam's ideal table

Who I Run For I look for players who enjoy collaborative storytelling, character development, and a mix of seriousness and silliness. If you care about your character’s journey — not just winning — you’ll fit right in. Your Role You might be someone who wants help building a backstory, or you might already know exactly who you want to play. Great — I want to help either way. I encourage character teamwork, but also personal arcs: each player should feel like their story matters. What to Expect from Me A welcoming atmosphere: I want you to feel safe and supported. A creative DM: I’ll help you with your build, your story, or any weird character idea — seriously, orc wizards are absolutely welcome. Flexibility: If you like more combat, more roleplay, or a sandbox-style campaign, I’ll lean into what you enjoy. Commitment: I schedule ahead, prepare scenes, but leave room for improvisation.

I love it when a player

offers to do something outlandish and not technically in the rules, something that's inspiring or hilarious. If I think the idea is funny or works with the story then let's roll with it! This game is about making a good story, not getting bogged down with semantics.
