About Ley
(Para Español, ver más abajo) I've been Gming for 15 years aprox, not only DnD (mainly) but also Vampire: The Masquerade, Everway, 7th Sea and a couple more systems I got into when I was growing up into an RPG community that we created to have a space to share and build new tables and players here in the city. I mostly GM in Spanish but can easily adapt to english. I love Asimov's writtings and sci-fi, and whole fantasy settings as the ones that Robin Hobb, Tolkkien, C.S. Lewis and other great writers built up. I deeply focus on lore and homebrew, adapting everything to the players that have a seat at my parties and trying to tell stories that doesn't always match into the status quo of the classic lores and stereotypes.

I became a GM because
I wanted to create worlds and stories, but also make them feel alive, and the ideas that players infuse into mine build up into a big words dance party that end up giving that sparkle of life to the universes we narrate together ♥
My favorite books are
Asimov's Foundation trilogy and "I, Robot" 1984 - George Orwell Robin Hobb's Liveship Traders Trilogy DnD's Draconomicon Valerio Massimo Manfredi's Alexandros trilogy
When I'm not running games I'm...
Playing some videogames (I love indie games and streaming), reading or writing, organizing my Obsidian Vault (for muy universe's Lore), biking, cooking, playing or recording some music (bass player/producer here)
How Ley runs games
(Para español leer más abajo) My style focuses more on the Dreams and Desires of the characters that play in my universe, trying to weave player's stories and my universe into a big lore patch. Roleplay goes on top of my goals and I love to watch characters develop their personalities not only in harsh and big situations, but also in little interactions with my world and NPC's. I love a bit of goofiness, it brings joy and fun to the table, but also emotive moments require serious roleplaying. For other less dungeon focused games like Vampire and all World of Darkness, I love to build anachronisms from real life events that happened in the real world and adapt them to the dark fantasy. I love imagining "what if X was a Werewolf" or "What if Y had a conspiracy to erase vampires from the map" stories.

I deal with rules issues by...
"What's funnier for the party?" is my main question. If that doesn't solve the issue I ask myself "What's best for the story?" and that should solve it. If a rule is bended, it stays bended at any moment after that to make it fair.
I prep by
Using short phrases to define the chapter we're going to play and the next ones. Then define deeply the focus and encounters in the chapter, and making changes in the next ones whenever a player changes something that affects the main story.
Rules are...
- If it's fun (even a bit dark) we use it. If it offends someone, breaks a limit, or walks over the line of "too dark", we don't. Respect is my core rule and value. - Don't be late. Everyone's time is as precious as yours, please respect it.
Ley's ideal table
(Para Español, ver más abajo) I LOVE puns and a bit of silliness or goofiness at my table. There's space for seriousness and emotive moments, but ALWAYS for a couple puns. I prioritize "Whats most fun" for my players, and after that "What's best for the story". Everyone is welcome to my table as long as they want to build together a nice story and respect every difference between the rest of the players, and playstyles. Rules lawyer? a bit of flexibility, Minmax? a couple flaws to spice the character. Lots of puns? a bit of seriousness in harsh moments.

I love it when a player
flows with a story. It's nice to have rebel characters that try to break something inside the world we play, but if we all tell a story together, it gets better.
I think it's a red flag when players...
don't communicate their issues within the party or with me. Communication is always the answer and if we have something that makes us uncomfortable, we should assess it and try to look forward as a party to make it comfortable for everyone.
I think min/maxing...
works if the person is not actively trying to break a limit set in the table or it's overused to ruin the story. I love when people min/max and then adds a flaw or a hard backstory to make the character have some space to grow. Min/maxing doesn't mean perfect.
