About me
Hello! I host mostly D&D 5.24 games (the most recent official D&D system), and my games are always LGBTQIA+ and beginner-friendly. I love to introduce new players to the game. I oscillate between professional content and homebrew as I'm building my own content archive. I got my start as a DM for NerdBrew in Tampa, Florida, before building my own content to create amazing games for you online. My strength as a DM is in my preparation, I will work hard to create an experience for you worth your time. Personally, I'm a crisis intervention volunteer and entering the healthcare profession. Once I'm out of school, my vision is to build a place to use TTRPGs as a site for free, non-clinical, peer-certified support for folks struggling with mental health and wellness issues. Session 0 and your 1st session with me will always be free (excluding one shots).
GM Style
I strive to adapt to my players and give them the experience and story they want! My games offer a mix of exploration, role-playing, puzzles and combat, and the "rule of cool" is definitely in play at my tables. * I'll cap players at 5 because your experience >>> my profit. * * On Combat * Combat in my games will never be risk free. I want combat to feel like it has real stakes. As a player, I've played far too many games where I never even lost HP. If you raise a sword, a staff, a mace, or a claw, you are inherently putting yourself in danger. "Now that you've drawn your pistol, are you willing to use it? I'm saying that guns aren't for threats they're for actions." - Shanks That said, I’m not certainly not trying to kill my players (it’s not DM vs players at my table; I want to see you do awesome and creative things). But I want to give you environments that have real stakes. As I see it, that's important for your decisions to matter. * Story or Sandbox? * My worlds run from high fantasy to grimdark to the modern world. In my homebrew worlds, I will prepare a story, but I won’t railroad you into it. Events in the story will unfold whether you participate in them or not. From one of my favorite DMs: "My games are played in open worlds and players are free to do as they like, but they may find less of substance to do if they choose to ignore the story at play. Though the players’ characters are the main characters of the world they live in, they are, at the beginning, inconsequential compared to the scope of the world. Your decisions will matter, but the world around you holds a lot more power than the party does -- at least for now.” I want to give my players the agency to shape the world around them. Do you have an out there, weird idea for a character you want to bring into the world? I'd love to help you actualize that!
