About Alex F
Howdy folks! I have a decade of DM experience and love to create and explore new worlds with my players. After years of playing DnD 5E, I've come to appreciate playing a multitude of TTRPGs, whether they be a more crunchy cousin to it like Pathfinder 2e, or the zany younger sibling of a more narrative heavy game like Slugblaster. Whether they be campaigns that run for years, months, or one shots, I'm always down to roll some dice and make some memories! I run tables that are open to everyone as long as they show respect to myself and their fellow players. If you see a game on my schedule with no players in it, I am perfectly willing to modify the time to match with a new group. Empty listings are more proposals than things set in stone.

How Alex F runs games
I focus on games where the players have the most opportunities to run the character they want to run for the story we're all trying to tell. Optimization is neat and all, but TTRPGs are, at their core, campfire stories mixed with a gambling mechanic. I get no joy out of running you through a meat grinder that requires the perfect character/team comp to succeed because there are countless ways to balance an encounter, and I like to have my players experience a plethora of them. One of my favorite parts of any campaign is sitting down for session zero, and figuring out how we want the characters and world to bounce off of one another for our adventure. We're all making a story together, so I like for us to all have our input and understanding of what we're walking into. The vibe at the table is relaxed but invested. There's time and space for hijinks and more absurd moments, but if you lean into the lore and your character, I will do my best to bounce off of you.

Rules are...
The GPS for how we go about our adventures. We can skirt around them if they're not working towards where we're trying to go, but in general, they should be followed.
Alex F's ideal table
If you love learning about your character and making stories with other people, you'll fit in great at my table. My main focus is on building up situations and problems for the players to solve in whatever way they see fit and rolling with wherever that takes us. Sometimes that means defeating the final boss via pushing them into a pool of water and trapping them in it like its the Sims 2, or inadvertently destroying the global economy half way through the game. "Winning" through brute force isn't the focus, making the memories is.

I love it when a player
Adds their own bits of lore into the story. We're working on the story together, so feel free to add your own bits in, and I'll try to follow up on them.
