About Aleks David Royt
Hailing from the sun bleached fields of Ukraine via the sun bleached beaches of Los Angeles, Aleks has been playing D&D since the late 1990s and in those nearly 3 decades has had the pleasure of running games for 100s of tables in various editions, systems, settings, and player experience levels. Equally experienced and excited to difficult high level games and catering easier coachable games for newer players - he loves to bring new people and returning players back into the worlds and games he loves by providing as inviting, understanding, and safe a space as possible for his players. If you love sprawling narratives, one on one roleplay, thought provoking puzzles, exciting combat, and the rewarding feeling of telling a fresh and exciting story. Aleks is the DM for you! You can see Aleks as a player or see his amazing model and miniature work on such shows as StoryQuest, Adventurers Pack, Encounter Party, Faster Purple Worm, Tales Unrolled, Friday Beers, and The Dice Decide.

My favorite books are
Anything Cosmere by Brandon Sanderson. The Earthsea Series by Ursula K LeGuin. Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
My favorite system of all Time is
It has for years been D&D specifically 3.5 though I really enjoy 5E. However I’ve recently really fallen in love with the rule set of Brotherwise Games Cosmere RPG and have really really fallen in love with Kids On Bikes especially with using it to introduce new players to the world of TTRPGs.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Improvisational. Narrative. Funny.
How Aleks David Royt runs games
- One on one and group roleplay (both situational and verbal). - Creative and fun combat encounters that incorporate roleplay elements, puzzles, timers, and more! - Deep scholastic world building and lore development. - New player coaching in a way that feels organic to gameplay and not like taking a class on how to play a game.

I love it when a player
Adds to another players scene or revelation by being constructive and pushing the narrative forward rather than trying to take the spotlight themselves.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Refuse to interact with fellow players and just space out until it’s time to roll for initiative.
I think metagaming...
Doesn’t matter because as a DM I can switch it up whenever I please.
