About AceOfSables
I loved every medium of storytelling since I was a kid (games, books, comics, films, songs even - you name it!), so naturally when I discovered TTRPGs I instantly fell in love with it - and this is what I love the most - telling STORIES! Epic or tragic, funny or serious, there's a place for all of them, as long as they're FUN for ALL who are building them TOGETHER! I've been into TTRPGs since 2017 and begun running D&D 5e in 2018. In 2022 I've picked up Cyberpunk RED and started learning Fabula Ultima in 2024. Since announcement I got interested in Daggerheart and during biggest Polish fantasy convention Pyrkon 2026 I run Daggerheart sessions for attendees as an official Game Master on Duty

The three words my players would use to describe me are...
chill despite running serious narratives inclusive storyteller or story weaver
When I'm not running games I'm...
struggling juggling so many interests of mine. Which, except playing and reading TTRPGS, storytelling and game design, also include maths, psychology, board games and their design, playing computer games, watching mostly anime, linguistics, swimming, philosophy... to name just a few.
How AceOfSables runs games
The most important for me is having fun together and stories that are told with my players - what stories? YOU tell me and weave our ideas into unforgettable adventures! Most of my games are player-driven - yes, focused on you and your decisions - and my job is to figure out where your choices will lead you and the consequences of your actions. I try to balance every aspect of the played game - RP, combat and problem solving. I run most game pretty much by the rules but I homebrew a lot of stuff and if the idea is fun and COOL, there is one rule to rule them all

My games focus on...
firstly on the people around the table and having fun together. Then about the stories we tell. I like grim, serious settings in which players face troublesome situations and hard choices.
Rules are...
the baseline between playing TTRPGs in chosen system instead having a loose cooperative storytelling. They are also tools to wield wisely so they help having fun while playing and not take it away. Have I fully mastered this art? No, but also I'm far from being a novice.
AceOfSables's ideal table
During the games there're always two worlds for me: my players irl and the game. While I'm a sucker for dark, serious worlds and stories, I love when players laugh and joke about the game (until it disturbs the game too much). It shows their engagement in the game and that we're all having fun despite sometimes touching really heavy or unsettling topics or themes in the game.

I love it when a player
chooses not what's best for them from playing a game perspective but fully embraces their character with their traits, emotions, goals and everything else and really chooses what their character would choose even if that pushes the party into bigger trouble.
