About Lee
I have a background in teaching and videography (music videos specifically). I have been GMing D&D 5e (2014) for about 2 years, and have recently decided to start running public games so I can tell more epic stories.

I became a GM because
I love the variety of creative outlets if gives me - writing, crafting, storytelling, reading, etc., and love the feeling of immersing players in a world and seeing their reactions.
My favorite shows/movies are
Star Trek, Interstellar, Jurassic Park, Alien, The Office, Parks & Rec, nerdy gear videos, TTRPG content creators, stand-up comedy.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Hanging with my partner and pups, playing a metal band, doing arts and crafts, or playing video games.
How Lee runs games
With a background in music video production, I bring cinematic flair to the table—using visuals, soundscapes, and pacing to create immersive worlds. I balance combat, exploration, and puzzles, while making space for every player’s comfort level. Above all, I aim for sessions that are engaging, memorable, and fun.

I deal with rules issues by...
Considering the player is correct, and asking for a source so I can look it up. I may ask the table if they are okay with moving on and looking it up during a break, and may even take a vote on a rule change, but I reserve the right to make the final decision.
Rules are...
Mostly as written with some simple changes (Perkins Crits, no strict encumbrance tracking, and generally anything that I feel might enhance the flow and experience for players).
When it comes to voices
I encourage players to do what they are comfortable with. They can voice their character or just describe what they are saying in third person. I have found that even shy players respond comfortably to my style and open up to voices more, but they will never be judged regardless of their choice.
Lee's ideal table
My table vibes lean more loose and fun, but my games tend to have very immersive atmospheres, and the tone can shift quite dramatically. That doesn't mean we can't crack jokes at Strahd's dinner table, but I will reel things in if they get out of hand. Think PG-13, but with maybe a few extra F-bombs here and there. That being said, I aim for a save environment and do not tolerate hate speech, bullying, offensive sexual content, etc. and players could be ejected for such things.

I love it when a player
Thinks outside the box, especially if it involves teamwork! Reach deep into that inventory or your abilities and you will likely be rewarded. YOU GET INSPIRATION! YOU GET INSPIRATION! YOU GET INSPIRATION!
I think metagaming...
...is pretty lame, but it happens. Just be careful not to spoil things for other players. Try saying things like, "as a player I know what these creatures are, but would my character know?" Using metagaming to cheat or spoil things for others could get you removed from the game.
I think min/maxing...
Is fine! Just remember that you aren't the main character, you aren't going to be amazing at everything, and you'll have to be patient/respectful towards non-min/maxxers. Also, be careful with unsolicited build suggestions and/or tactics - they can come off as condescending or annoying.
