About Rick
Welcome, adventurers! I've been GMing and playing tabletop RPGs, both in person and online, for over 20 years. Some of my favourite things about games like D&D are the social experiences, like watching a table of strangers grow into a group of friends over the course of an adventure. As a Game Master, I strive to create an immersive and welcoming environment where every player has a chance to shine whether you enjoy playing memorable characters, exploring dungeons, or engaging in combat. Each of us are an integral part of the world, I enjoy running games that balance storytelling with player choices. I encourage creative solutions, some of the best moments happen when players surprise me with ideas that I never saw coming. Whether you're brand new to D&D or a seasoned veteran, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and included through a variety of adventures.

How Rick runs games
I welcome both new and experienced players to my D&D 2024 (5.5e) games on Roll20. My games offer a balanced mix of exploration, roleplaying, combat, investigation, infiltration, and negotiation. Every group is different, so I adjust the pacing and emphasis based on what the players enjoy most while staying true to the adventure. I encourage teamwork, creative problem-solving, and giving every character opportunities to shine. Clever ideas are rewarded. My tables are PvP-free by default, helping foster a cooperative environment where players can work together and enjoy telling a shared story. I also value a clear, distraction-free environment, so I don't use background noise or music to help everyone focus and stay immersed in the game. Whether it's your first session or your hundredth, my goal is for everyone to feel welcome, engaged, and excited to come back for the next adventure. Book your seat and roll initiative!

My games are fairly laid back. players who enjoy each others company are a good fit for my tables. Also, my tables don't have background noise or music running as I don't enjoy that type of thing. I don't have a tv or a stereo at home by choice.
