About Jeff
Hello!! My name is Jeff and I have been playing and dreaming about D&D since I was 8 years old. I love the fantasy and Sci-Fi genre and now I want to bring that love and passion to other players. My daily job is being the bard of wine so I have been a professional storyteller for years. I enjoy bringing excitement and intrigue to the "table" and allowing the players to truly drive the narrative. I also truly love bringing the history and lore of D&D into my games while letting magic in every possible way have it's shining moments! Castles, gold, magic items, dungeons and dragons let's goooo!!!! I get excited just talking about it. I am a very open minded individual and I enjoy being there for the players in the games I'm running. I love the creativity that other people bring to the table and I enjoy incorporating their wisdom and knowledge into the setting. Fun by all is the number one goal! I look forward to hopefully playing with you all at some point and may you roll many Natural 20's in your adventures to come.

I became a GM because
It's a classic tale in D&D lore and a simple answer as to how I became a GM. My friends and I could not find a GM for our group. No one really felt like they had the knowledge to run a game. So we all took turns. Eventually I started GM ing and haven't stopped since.
My favorite books are
I love fantasy books! Terry Brooks has always been my personal favorite author. I do tend to love it all though. The books that I have read range from Tolkien to Stephen King to biologies about Attila the Hun and Winston Churchill. But I always return to a good fantasy book though.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Imaginative, fair and gregarious
How Jeff runs games
Think of this like a Saturday morning cartoon or a fast-paced action movie. I’ll rarely stop the game to look up a rule; if it's cool, we’ll make it happen. Focus is on creative solutions and having fun! I believe in "Rule of cool," "Fast-paced," "Cinematic," "Action-adventure. I love deep character backstories, but I also enjoy a challenging, tactical fight that makes sense within the story. I tend to lean heavily into using all five senses in my descriptions to make the scene feel real. Fun and creating memories is the name of the game!!

I deal with rules issues by...
Hearing out the player, first off, to see what is trying to be accomplished. Then we reason it out through rules and game mechanics and come to a gratifying result for the player and the party.
If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
So my first go to response is Steven Spielberg because he is truly one of the best. But some close runner up directors would be Martin Scorsese, for his gritty realism and Sam Raimi for his lack of shyness in creating great blockbuster movies while also creating the best B flicks ever!
My games focus on...
Creating a fun and immersive storyline while not being too complicated. There is nothing more gratifying than listening to the players talk about how exciting the last session was. Playing games should be rewarding to the mind and soul.
Jeff's ideal table
I focus on creating an immersive, player-driven narrative. My goal is to make sure every player has a moment to shine. I’m a big fan of in-character acting and sometimes intense story decisions, but I always ensure the group laughs together. You can expect a collaborative, respectful atmosphere with a mix of challenging, tactical combat, deep roleplay and puzzle solving sprinkled in. The goal is to create fun, long lasting memories with characters that are enjoyable to play with.

I think metagaming...
Is not a problem as long as the party agrees to be respectful of other players as well as it doesn't leave players feeling left out. Talking about different ways to solve a problem is the creative aspect to this game.
I think min/maxing...
Is one way to build a character. We all have an idea of the character that we want to play with and I will never judge how that is.
My perfect party mix is
Players that show up to the best of their ability. Unfortunately we can't have a game without a decent amount of them showing up consistently. Anything else can be worked out and adjusted for.
