About Rudy

I am one of the lead organizers of the San Diego Roleplaying Association and am a lover of all RPGs from DnD to Troika! If there is a game I don't know and want to play, I'll read and I'll learn it within a week! I prefer sci fi and urban fantasy games and I'm also a huge fan of using the 5e ruleset in different ways, from superheroes, to cyberpunk. I studied religion and philosophy in college and have been actively working in the rpg community to bring exposure of the cultures, history and religion of India in my homebrew setting so if you want to play a game and learn a bit of real world religion or philosophy I'm your guy!

I love telling stories and invoking emotional responses in my players. Its the best feeling ever to see how much my time and energy has benefited them so they have a memorable time at my table.

How Rudy runs games

I'm very much focused on fun over rules. Most of the time I end up ignoring the rules completely in the moment and just taking a note to look it up after the game. My games tend to be very epic in scale with campaign very easily go 2+ years and short one-shots eventually becoming two shots or more. I do character voices to the best of my ability and I try to keep combat to a minimum unless its actually pertinent to the story so you won't find any random encounters here!
