About Taylor
I have been playing and running tabletop RPGs since the earliest days of Dungeons & Dragons, with decades of experience across multiple systems at home tables, online, and conventions like Gamehole Con and Gary Con. My tables prioritize collaborative storytelling, clear rules knowledge, and a relaxed pace that gives every player room to shine. Since the start of the pandemic, I’ve run many hours of online games and am very comfortable with virtual tabletops and voice/video play. I bring the same energy and care to online sessions that I do to in-person games, with a focus on consistency and long-term campaigns. Outside of RPGs, I’m an avid fan of co‑op and PvE video games and love movies of all kinds—especially when they’re on the big screen, where they belong. These interests inform my cinematic approach to encounters, pacing, and scene framing. I have a calm, casual demeanor and it takes a lot to rattle me, which helps keep the table feeling safe and welcoming even when the stakes in-game are high. I’m an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and strive to maintain an inclusive, respectful environment for all players. Also, fair warning: my large orange cat, Leo, is a shameless camera hog and may make guest appearances on stream from time to time.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
Wow, there are so many good systems out there. I think I would bring QAGS 2nd edition (Quick Ass Game System), Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, and MCC (Mutant Crawl Classics).
My favorite shows/movies are
My favorite movie of all time is Forbidden Planet. I enjoy almost all genres of movies, but I tend toward Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Action more than others. I generally prefer watching movies in the theater and see at least 50 films a year, both vintage and new.

How Taylor runs games
Fun and story come first at my table. If a cool idea fits the rules, excellent; if not, I lean on ‘ruling over rules’ to keep the game flowing and the narrative exciting. If everyone is engaged and having fun, the game is a success. I run inclusive, safety‑focused games. I use X‑Cards at every table and aim to keep content around a PG‑13 tone; occasionally, a specific campaign may drift into R‑rated territory, but only with group consent and clear communication ahead of time. Player‑versus‑player conflict is rare and only used when it genuinely serves the story and everyone is on board. Ultimately, the goal is for everyone to feel comfortable, respected, and involved while we tell a great story together.

Rules are...
A guideline meant to be bent and broken as necessary to tell a great story.
Taylor's ideal table
My table is casual, energetic, and focused on having fun together. Expect a good mix of punchy encounters, engaging puzzles, and memorable role‑playing moments; on average, sessions lean roughly 60% action and 40% problem‑solving and role‑play, so everyone gets time to shine. My ideal players are engaged, cooperative, and ready to laugh. A solid sense of humor, a love of adventure, and a team‑first mindset go a long way toward making each session great. The more you bring your ideas and enthusiasm to the table, the better the game becomes for everyone.

I love it when a player
I love players who can think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to problems. I also enjoy off-the-wall ideas and action. Those kinds of things keep me on my toes.
I think metagaming...
It's a cheat that takes the fun out of the game for everyone.
