About me

For as long as I can remember, I loved building worlds and stories from my imagination. As a child, I drew mazes with traps, monsters, and treasure rooms for my siblings to pretend to navigate, long before I learned about roleplaying games. And later, when I inevitably picked up my first core rulebooks of D&D 3.5 nearly 20 years ago, I was hooked on the concept of TTRPGs, which ended up fueling my passion for art, writing, and various other forms of creative expression. Fast-forward to today, and now I'm intent on writing and publishing a campaign because I've found game design and world-building as an exciting hobby which exercises each of my creative talents, and I'd love to be able to turn my various artistic skills into a career. That said, I'd love to share a part of this journey with others who have similar interests, where we all may enjoy the unique, creative, and thrilling bonding experience that makes up tabletop roleplaying. I'll be looking forward to seeing you at the table. Happy adventuring!

GM Style

I regard the GMs role as a facilitator of an inclusive, friendly, and fun gaming environment. So, I will do my best to negotiate and meet the expectations the group agrees upon, established during our "session zero." That said, I personally get the most enjoyment out of roleplaying, adopting the personality and voice of different characters, describing scenes of various moods -- dark, gritty, thrilling, light, humorous, etc. -- and engaging in combat when it is narratively appropriate. I also encourage and appreciate thoughtful player character backstories, and will make an effort to integrate them into our adventures (if they're OK with it). I believe the most memorable experiences stem from a group of players that feel invested in their characters who are strongly connected to the others in their party. In summary, I lean heavily on storytelling and roleplaying, and I'm light on combat. Ultimately, I will do what I can to adapt to my players' preferences. In the extreme case my group prefers combat and/or skill checks far more than roleplaying, I will prepare adventures that appeals to that playstyle, and I'd be happy to run it regardless.
