About the adventure

Hey you. Yes, you. Sitting there at your computer, preparing for your next game. For some unknown reason, you have found yourself pulled into the plane of Toril and the Chultan Peninsula of Faerûn. It's a Jumanji experience like you've never played it before: using D&D! Welcome to the jungle. Be on your guard, don’t run out of lives, and most importantly - watch out for the dinosaurs. Prepare to play yourself; embarking on an adventure to lift a horrific death curse, save the world, and hopefully find your way back home! 🙌 Free Session 0! 📝 Generate Characters together, via a series of questions designed to generate the Class, Race, and Ability Scores for your real life self! Beyond that, your character is yours to create and flesh out as you wish! 💡 Have a fun Background idea based on your real job, experiences, or hobbies? We'll work it in rather than choosing a traditional background! 🏞️ Explore Chult utilizing custom encounter tables, expanded villages and exploration, and challenging foes to face! 🦕 Dinosaur Rides! 😫 Bad Puns! 💀 Take down the evil Lich Acererak!

How to prepare

You will need accounts on Discord and Roll20, as well as a microphone. Camera is Optional but encouraged! We'll be playing over Roll20, so please have a Roll20 account set up. If you prefer to use a sheet on DND Beyond, please ensure that the Beyond20 Browser Extension is enabled in order to broadcast rolls into Roll20!

What I provide

- Battlemaps, bad puns, and an array of sound effects. - 16 years of DM'ing experience! - Everything needed to make playing the game a breeze, and make your characters awesome. - I will have all sourcebooks ready to reference; and all prepared characters will have functional sheets in roll20 (with click-macro rolls enabled on the sheet)

Gameplay details

This adventure will be played via Roll20, with Discord for Voice. My goal is to recreate a real Jumanji experience in all its wacky glory. As a content warning (and slight spoiler), the core plot revolves around a Death Curse that attempts to pull any soul that has died into a device known as the Soulmonger; for purposes of plot the concept ties in near-death-experiences as having loosened the Soul enough to bring you from our world to Faerûn - as such you may choose to recall a real experience, or a fictional one - I've put it in the Content Warnings as Nightmares about Traumatic Events as the closest proximity. In order to keep the table safe with these topics, in addition to safety discussions during Session 0, I will have Safety Cards available to anonymously Drop on the Map at any point. If a player is uncomfortable with the content for any reason (including phobias, PTSD, and/or many more), Drag and Drop a safety card into the map at any time!!!

How will character creation work

We will have a Session 0 (at no cost) for everyone to get together and create characters. Abilities, Class, and Race will be generated via an in-depth quiz. All other character options will be at the player's discretion! Due to the nature of the quiz, ability scores may be slightly unbalanced; but it's intended to be in good fun! If anything feels horribly out of balance, I'm more than happy to make reasonable adjustments!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
