About the adventure

"Something evil is trapping the souls of the dead and draining life from all who have been raised from death by magic. This worldwide 'death curse' not only prevents the raising of the dead but also causes creatures that were previously raised from the dead to wither and die. The source of this death curse lies in a trap-riddled tomb hidden beneath a lost city in the depths of a vast jungle." ☠ The jungles of Chult are largely unexplored and very dangerous. ☠ Ancient ruins and an undead plague riddle the jungles. ☠ Various factions including the Order of the Gauntlet and the Flaming Fist seek to make their mark in the jungle. ☠ Chult contains a rich history of unique gods including Ubtao and Dendar the Night Serpent. ☠ This is a deadly campaign and not for the faint of heart. This campaign will range from Levels 1-12. It has many sandbox elements, but also an overall driving story arc with some epic conclusions. My forte as a storyteller is folding in the player characters (PCs) into the narrative in a meaningful way, bringing NPCs to life that you will love and hate (and sometimes both), and making the world feel open and dynamic.

How to prepare

What I provide

I bring to the board a Fantasy Ground Unity Ultimate License as well as many licensed products for 5E D&D. Further, I have created my own one-shot adventure called the Gauntlet to help teach newcomers how to play. In addition, I have a wealth of knowledge and familiarity of TTRPGs as a DM so that you have a solid and positive experience in gameplay. I am an author that brings to the table a rich world in which to explore and I am a teacher that uses those skills to help players understand how the game is played.

Gameplay details

This campaign involves a balance of planning, fighting, exploring, and socializing though this varies greatly based on player choice. There is a ton of freedom although that can be daunting and choices have consequences. This game contains the themes of war, danger, and evil not appropriate for the faint of heart. I am also very approachable with any concerns that you may have.

How will character creation work

Characters will be made during Session 0 using the basic rules for 5e D&D plus an additional set of House Rules on character creation that will be provided.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
