Planescape: Turn of Fortune’s Wheel captures everything that makes Dungeons & Dragons feel boundless and alive. From the first step through Sigil’s twisting streets to the final excursion in the Outlands, the adventure is packed with wonder and possibility. Its epic scope feels truly planar—portals leading to places stranger and larger than you imagined, choices rippling across entire realities. What sets it apart isn’t just scale but depth: the NPCs and locales are vivid and the challenges take many different forms. What’s more, the story’s layers of fractured pasts, reincarnation, and existential uncertainty give the campaign a rare philosophical weight. Turn of Fortune’s Wheel isn’t just about saving the multiverse—it’s about heroes discovering who they truly are and why reality matters to them. What makes it even stronger is how easily Dungeon Masters can shape it to fit their own tables. The adventure’s structure leaves wide open spaces for exploring other fantastic locations, factions, or cosmological ideas. Whether you want to add in entire planes or put your own spin on Sigil’s politics, it welcomes those changes rather than fighting them. If you’re looking for a campaign filled with colorful characters, endless possibilities, and thoughtful questions about life and self, Turn of Fortune’s Wheel delivers Planescape at its best: strange, rich, and unforgettable.
Planescape is one of my favorite settings in the D&D universe. I'm fascinated by the unique ways that the setting plays around with philosophical topics, the wide variety of interesting factions, and the endless possibilities of things that you can incorporate into your adventures in the Outlands. However, I can't in good consciousness give this adventure 5 stars. As much as I enjoy running Turn of Fortune's Wheel, it does have its flaws. Others have described a myriad of complaints about how the adventure is written, but there is nothing in this adventure that can not be fixed by a good GM. My players absolutely loved playing through this adventure and even extended the campaign to an epic finale at level 20 after wrapping up their backstory and everything they built in the world. It may take a bit of extra work to really make this adventure shine, but the core concept is strong enough that it is absolutely worth the effort.
I have always been a fan of the Planescape's setting. Having the multiverse at your fingertips means that you have an endless supply of possibility to bring to the table, and that's fantastic for someone who enjoys telling whacky adventures! Turn of the Fortune's Wheel is no different. The multiversal glitch making death inevitable but not destructive to a player's goals in character creation is a fun way to explore. As a storyteller I also enjoy how the story unfolds. There are several twists and turns, and challenges where you get to encourage your players to be creative and that's just so fun to do!
Been playing this Planescapr set of adventures with DM BrunoDiaz and it’s been fantastic! Brine takes the materials provided by the written adventures and the. Expands on it and adds to it so that we have a full-fledged campaign in a pretty sandboxy styled layout. Everything starts and ends in Sigil as we pick and choose where we go and for what purpose. The city itself is a cool environment and it’s literally the gateway to ANY other locale the stories and adventures take us.
Having a blast with our DM BrunoDiaz, he is very knowledgable and make each session fun and amazing. He does alot of pre-planning and you can tell by how smooth the sessions go, sometime inspite of the players. PlaneScape is the 2nd Campaign I have played with BrunoDiaz. You will have a great time whether it is a one-shot or part of an ongoing campaign.
Planescape is an amazing setting and Turn of Fortune's Wheel is a ton of fun. The setting is so rich and full of variety and depth. The opportunities for roleplay and expansion are endless. The Turn of Fortune's Wheel adventure is excellent and serves as a great high level introduction to a lot of the aspects of the Planescape setting.
