About the adventure

Be a warrior in a garden, it beats being a gardener in a war! Unless you're a druid. 🐲 - There be dragons! 🧙‍♂️ - Sorcery is High on this setting. 🌞 - Gods of Good, Neutrality and Evil... Deux Vault! 🏹 - Battle Scenes, using MCDM's Kingdoms and Warfare rules! Watch a quick highlight compilation of my games: https://youtu.be/JGthJQk8gVo I will be using heavy knowledge of the older setting books (Mainly 3.5 Dragonlance Campaign setting) to modify and flesh out this module. It is important to do justice to the incredible world of Krynn. Most house-rules and adaptations will be done with that intention. My take on Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen goes from levels 2 to 11 (roughly 35 to 40 weekly sessions), and it is not for the faint of heart. I normally increase the difficulty of encounters, change monsters to be Action Oriented and customize everything to fit the narrative mood. During session zero, we will establish your involvement with the elements of the adventure and what part of your backgrounds can be integrated in the plot (if any). I will go over the mood, expectations, lines, veils and other safety tools. The party also has a chance to meet each other and maybe even connect their character backgrounds for a more cohesive group. What you are paying for when joining any of my games: 🛡 - A safe, welcoming environment to all people. Session zero and safety tools. 👮‍♂️ - A strict "no harassment" policy and robust table etiquette properly enforced. 🎤 - Open channel for communication with me. Quick response and transparent feedback. ⏲ - Excellent control of pacing, I keep the game moving and the story evolving. ⚖ - Fair judgement and rulings, with proper flexibility to accommodate the narrative. 🎨 - Immersive and engaging descriptions of environments, events and creatures. 🌏 - Beautiful maps that evoke the imagination. 🎵 - Ambient sounds and soundtracks appropriate to each moment of the story.

How to prepare

Must be 18+ years old. In order to participate and enjoy the games players must have the following: ✅A Discord account (free to create, web based) ✅PC or Laptop capable of handling audio and video for 3 hours. ✅ An Internet Browser (up to date): Chrome, Firefox or Opera are recommended. ✅ A good microphone and headset. ✅ A stable internet connection. ✅ A quiet place where you can focus without background noise.

What I provide

Beautiul maps, set up with walls and dynamic lighting. Proper soundtracks to set the mood and beautiful art as handouts to inspire your imagination!

Gameplay details

As expected for a war-themed adventure in a high fantasy or dark-fantasy setting, Shadow of the Dragon Queen contains combat encounters which depict sequences of violence. Additionally, the adventure includes certain events which portray body horror, death, abuse of power, supernatural horror, murder, kidnapping, immolation, ghostly possession, torture, and large dragons. I do my best to ensure that none of these topics are overly gratuitous in their presentation or needlessly gruesome in detail. The purpose of tabletop roleplaying games is to have fun experiencing a unique adventure and story together as a collaborative storytelling experience. We will be doing a session zero before beginning the adventure, and I can easily modify descriptions or scenarios as appropriate to avoid content that the party might be uncomfortable with. I use the Tabletop RPG safety tool X-card by John Stavropoulos integrated on my Foundry setup. Anyone can press the X button, or say "Let's talk for a moment", "I need a break" and we will stop, talk about it and continue later.

How will character creation work

Characters should be level 2. Race, background and class should be from the Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and Monsters of the Multiverse, excluding any races with flying speed and Clerics of the Twilight or Peace domains. I will also exclude any races or classes that do not fit the world of Krynn (discussed in session zero). In addition, as recommended in the Shadow of the Dragon Queen module, every player starts with a Feat at level 1. The list of the available extra Feats is limited and defined in the module. Feats are allowed, HP is average, optional class rules from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything are allowed. You can customize your origin in an existing race to swap racial bonuses, but nothing else may be swapped. Please check your spells and feats to make sure they are from one of the sources above. Spells and feats coming from other sources will not be allowed (such as specific scenarios like Eberron, Ravnica and Stryxhaven). You start with the initial equipment set available for your class and background. Gold only from your background.
