About the adventure

Beneath the unyielding night sky, you stand before a towering glacier and recite an ancient rhyme, causing a crack to form in the great wall of ice. Beyond this yawning fissure lie secrets old and terrifying. Knowledge and power that mad seekers and scholars wish to posses, have been preserved by the Frostmaiden’s wrath! What secrets and treasures are entombed in the sunless heart of the glacier? What will their discovery mean for the denizens of Icewind Dale? Can it save the Ten-Towns from the everlasting winter? Or unleash something far worse... Set in the fantasy setting of the Forgotten Realms and in the distant frontier of Icewind Dale. This is a tale of dark terror that revisits the forlorn, flickering candlelights of civilization known as Ten-Towns and sheds light on the many bone-chilling locations that surround these freezing settlements. The adventure will see you reach at least 10th level before its resolution. This story is for those who wish to experience the isolation and dread of the arctic tundra of Icewind Dale. The reward will be the warmth thanks of those that try to perservere alongside you. Varied foes and weird encounters are here to keep the ambience fresh and continue to keep you interested. Combat, roleplay, & exploration are present in great amount.

How to prepare

You need a decent PC for Foundry and a Microphone + Headset for Discord. Camera is not needed. You should have a decent understanding of 5e D&D. Free accounts for the use of Discord (voice chat), D&D Beyond (character creation) & Forge (Virtual TableTop) websites.

Gameplay details

Expect a good balance of exploration, roleplay, and combat. Downtime activities will be included with the implementation of Kibbles' Crafting Guide adventures.

How will character creation work

I recommend thinking of what kind of character you would like to play and it will be discussed and created as part of Session 0. You can always ask me on Discord for a list of available options and even possible adjustments to bring them in line with the rest of the group. Character Creation: Starting Stats: Point Buy (27 points) Starting Level: 3 All needed material will be available to view and discuss on Discord and use in Foundry VTT.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
