    About the adventure

Eberron is a land of adventure and mystery, where anything can happen. Keith Baker's award winning setting was introduced during D&D's third edition, and has been a fan favorite through 4th and now 5th. In Eberron, magic has developed into industries that mirror real world technology - airships, lightning rails, messaging stations, and horrid weapons of war. Anything in D&D exists in Eberron, but perhaps in a place or form you might not expect. Nomadic halflings ride dinosaurs across a sea of grass. A kingdom of elves is ruled and guided by their undead ancestors. An order of knights sworn to protect the world from demons may think they have to kill you to accomplish that, and a trio of immortal hags ruling a nation of monsters might be the allies you need to convince them otherwise. The world is recovering from a century of war, and the peace is fragile. This world needs heroes. It needs you!

    Gameplay details

This session is for character creation and campaign discussion. I envision a campaign with a beginning, a middle, and an end, comprising 10 to 12 sessions and taking characters from level 1 to level 5 or 6. In this session, we'll build a party, establish connections between the characters, introduce the setting, briefly go over the Fantasy Grounds and Discord technology for anyone who needs help with it, and decide on a schedule. I've set this session for up to 12 players, expecting that we might schedule two or three separate campaigns. What story we tell will somewhat depend on the character choices you make. If the party has dragonmarked heirs, then the Houses' interests will be part of the plot. If there are Kalashtar in the group, expect the Dreaming Dark to be important. If you're a druid, are you a Warden of the Wood, or Ashbound, or one of the more militant sects? By the end of the session, we'll know: who you are, what you did during the Last War, and why you need 400 gold pieces. Armed with this knowledge, I'll build the campaign. Expect the first game within 1 to 2 weeks after this session. NOTE: Session zero is free. The campaign will be $15.00 per session. At the end of it, we can discuss future plans with your now mid-level adventurers, if they are still alive (not all stories end happily in Eberron).

    How will character creation work

We'll create character sheets in Fantasy Grounds during this session. For people who just want to jump right in, I've built Eberron-specific level 1 characters of every class, that you can rename, edit and adopt if you prefer.

    Players can expect

    • Combat/Tactics: Medium
    • Roleplay: High
    • Puzzles: Low
