About the adventure

Epic high-level DND where your character's decisions change the world Bring your favorite character to this high-fantasy game in the Faerûn setting. Each character will be an epic hero of our story, and there will be plenty of room for character development and engagement with backstories. This is intended to be a long-running campaign with the majority of it played at level 20, and we’ll follow the party’s interest through official and homebrew content. ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN The people of the Dessarin Valley are going through a hard time: Bandits, pirates, and monsters are encroaching closer to homes and villages in greater numbers than ever before. A caravan of delegates has gone missing on its journey from Mirabar to Waterdeep, and no one can figure out what happened. Even the weather is unpredictable, causing the farmers to worry in the crucial last weeks before harvest. Is this just a string of bad luck, or could it be connected to the four ancient, long-abandoned keeps that have recently become occupied again? There’s so much opportunity for adventure in the Forgotten Realms, and we’re going to begin with Princes of the Apocalypse, a module that we use in a sandbox style. ABOUT THE DM - I’m in my 40s and married to the guy who taught me all about playing pretend with math rocks. - I really enjoy collaborative storytelling. This isn’t a story that will go one predetermined way with the characters just along for the ride. We decide together where the story goes with every decision we make. - I am not your adversary—I’m your biggest fan! I love when the party comes up with a solution I didn’t consider, and I rejoice when they steamroll an encounter through teamwork and creativity. - I know how you love your character. I will weave in your backstory so you have the opportunity for growth, resolution, revenge, or redemption. ABOUT THE PLAYERS - Appropriate for beginners to veteran players. - Everyone optimizes their character for something, whether it's being the stabbiest, the healingest, the tankiest, the stealthiest, or being exactly like the Goblin King in Labyrinth. Please respect that others may have optimized for something you wouldn’t have chosen.
