About the adventure
Your first D&D adventure starts here. You don’t need to know the rules. You don’t need to own any books. You don’t even need to know what kind of character you want to play yet. Dragon of Stormwreck Isle is a beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons adventure built specifically to introduce new players to the game through exploration, roleplay, mystery, and combat, all without dropping an entire rulebook in your lap on Session One. Your journey brings you to Stormwreck Isle, a remote island shaped by an ancient conflict between dragons. Beneath its quiet monasteries, rocky beaches, and overgrown ruins, old powers are beginning to stir again. Strange creatures roam the island, kobolds whisper about dragons, and something dangerous is threatening the fragile peace of this isolated place. That’s where you come in. This campaign is designed for players who have never played D&D before, and I’ll teach you everything you need to know as we play. Rather than spending hours memorizing rules, you’ll learn naturally as situations come up: how combat works, what your abilities do, when to roll dice, and most importantly, how much freedom you actually have in a game like D&D.

About me
Hi! My name is Ethan, and I'm hopefully your new GM! I've been GMing for 9 years, and what started because I couldn't find the kind of table I wanted to play at quickly turned into one of my favorite things in the world. Since then, I've run several long-form homebrew campaigns including mysteries, political thrillers, high fantasy epics, all in worlds built completely from scratch. I specialize in handcrafted worlds and player-driven stories. My games feature custom maps, campaign lore, memorable NPCs with distinct voices, ambient music, cinematic encounters, and stories that actively incorporate your character's history, relationships, and choices. I love tactical combat, but I'm a Rule of Cool GM first. If you come up with something creative and awesome, I'm usually looking for a fair way to let you try it. Just as importantly, I want my tables to be places where people can relax, be themselves, and enjoy the game. I run welcoming tables for players from all kinds of backgrounds and experience levels, use clear safety tools and boundaries, and have zero interest in gatekeeping the hobby. Whether you've played D&D for ten years or you're still figuring out which die is the d20, you're welcome here. I'm a lifelong nerd, a military veteran, a husband, and a dad. Outside of running games, I'm usually spending time with my family, cooking, gaming, or inevitably building yet another fantasy world. If you're looking for a GM who takes the game seriously without taking himself too seriously, I think you'll fit right in.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
You do not need any prior D&D experience to join this game. Before your session, please make sure you have: -A free Discord account -A free D&D Beyond account -A working microphone and a reasonably quiet place to play -A willingness to ask questions, try things, and learn as we go You do not need to buy any books or memorize any rules beforehand. I’ll teach you what you need to know during play and help you understand your character as the adventure progresses. Premade characters will be available, so you can jump straight into the game without worrying about building your first character from scratch.
What Ethan (GM Viper) brings to the table
My goal is to make your first D&D experience feel like an adventure, not a rules lesson. I provide premade beginner-friendly characters, battle maps, visual aids, ambient music, character voices, and guided rules explanations throughout the game. I’ll help you understand your abilities, your options in combat, and what the dice actually mean without overwhelming you with information. My GM style is character-focused and highly immersive. Creative ideas are encouraged, roleplay is never forced, and there is no expectation that you already know how D&D is “supposed” to be played. You can expect a welcoming table where questions are encouraged, mistakes are completely normal, and the focus stays on having fun, telling a great story, and giving you the confidence to keep playing D&D after the session ends.
