About the adventure
Don't sweat it, you can simply sign up and go. :) This will be a short(ish) session, where we have an encounter and you learn to play with this D&D System. Don't overthink it, just go and pet the dragons. I have a pretty relaxed style of play, and there is no losing or failing in this game. You want a story hook? Here it is, we have dragons, we surely don't skimp on story! ---------------------------------------- Centuries ago, a cruel dragon came in the forest. It raided the surrounding villages, bringing destruction and death. The elves that lived nearby called the dragon Death-at-Sunset, for twilight was always when the dragon descended on their prey. The dragon gleefully adopted this name, reveling in the terror it inspired and bellowing it just before rampaging. Many years ago, at a great cost in lives, Death-at-Sunset was finally killed. The survivors were safe, at last. They founded a new village, Redwood Watch. They started living their lives, again. But in the last few months, inhabitants of Redwood Watch have noticed the forest’s trees growing sickly. In the past month, five villagers have disappeared in the grove. What is corrupting the forest around the abandoned dragon's lair? Why are people disappearing? ...could Death-at-Sunset be back, somehow?

About me
Hey :) My name is Frollo, and I love being a GM. See, the thing is, I love stories. And I love Tabe-Top Role-Playing Games because YOU get to tell AND live the craziest stories. To me, TTRPGs are a celebration of creativity and fun. The best stories come from their characters, and that's YOU in a Role-Playing Game! EVERYONE at my table gets to express themselves, and dream up crazy new identities to play with. I have a chill, relaxed GMing style, story-driven and focused on collaborative fun. The occasional, despicable PUN might also be spotted here and there, in all its cringe-worthy glory. And you are welcome to sit at my table. Beginner, first-timer, veteran, LGBTQ+, introvert and extrovert. It's a safe space for everyone. I promise we will have fun and tell a fantastic story, with you as one of the protagonists. I always customize and remaster the campaigns I run. I'm a big fan of mixing up your character's backstories in the campaign story, so players' choices are meaningful and their characters are part of what's going on. It will not be just another out-of-the-box Curse of Strahd. I am also very fond of redrawing and remaking maps in Dungeon Alchemist, so most maps will be custom made, with lights, colors, and 3d perspective. I have a Discord Server with channels for each group, and to track NPCs, places and all the things. We use it to chat and do downtime stuff as well, of course. Like haikus to commemorate the deceased... And lastly, I add some atmosphere to my sessions using ambience and encounter music. I might probably be the Worst case of "Forever DM" you've ever seen. I am from Italy, where I live, and I started playing TTRPGs a (very) long time ago, with a group of friends based around a our local game store - one of us actually worked in there. I might have played most RPGs ever published, once or twice. Or at least read them. I love D&D 5E because it reached a great balance of fun, versatility and rules. It is also a very welcoming system for beginners. But in cases of emergency, I can "break the glass" and GM Vampire, Cthulhu, Cyberpunk and Pathfinder like there's no tomorrow.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please make sure you have a viable internet connection and working video/audio on you laptop or PC. I will provide links to my Campaign on D&D Beyond and my Discord server. Both are free platforms (and you probably already have accounts :) ). We will play on MapsVTT, which is very simple and integral to D&D Beyond
What Frollo_GM brings to the table
I will strive to provide a fun, immersive experience. My tables are inclusive and welcoming for everyone. I will run a customized, adapted version of the adventure as it is written, because I love doing that. And I will run this as a Learn-While-You-Play experience.

How Frollo_GM creates a safe table
This is a short, simple adventure, designed and adapted specifically for starting players and persons new to the hobby. Its contents are suitable or anyone, and there shouldn't be any touchy subjects, but I will provide a Consent Checklist in any case, and use Lines and Veils just to stay safe.
