About the adventure
Uni the unicorn is in trouble. The evil spellcaster Kelek has stolen Uni’s horn to power a fell ritual. If the characters don’t stop Kelek, Uni’s horn will be destroyed forever in Kelek’s quest for power. If you watched the 80's Dungeons & Dragons cartoon, the characters in this adventure will be familiar to you, but if you didn't, that's okay too. It's still an adventure about an evil wizard trying to steal the horn from a Unicorn, a magical creature, for his fell ends. It's up to you, our heroes, to prevent this tragic end. Will you succeed, or will Uni's magic be lost forever?

About me
I've been playing and GMing for roughly a year. Several of my friends enjoyed ttrpgs when I was growing up, but I never paid them much mind until covid lockdown began and I discovered Critical Role. After years of trying to get my current friend group to play, I finally got a group together, only for our GM to have to leave the group due to work scheduling, leaving me to take over. I have been running games almost every weekend since. I have ran games in D&D 5E(2014) and 5.5E(2024).

Creating your character
Characters will be created on DND Beyond, using 5.5E(2024) rules. Characters will be level 4. Any official content will be allowed. Third party content will likely be allowed, but run it past me first just in case. I'll be sharing my content library for anyone who may need it.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a DND Beyond account (don't worry, it's free), Discord for voice chat, and a device capable of running the Maps VTT on DND Beyond.
What Matt aka Mathias brings to the table
Background music, character voices (I'm no voice actor, but I try to make characters feel unique), and a Rule of Cool playstyle that sticks mostly to the rules as written, but will bend them to allow cool stuff to happen when it's warranted.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a healing potion is bonus action if you want to roll for it. If you drink it as an action, you get the max value from the potion. (example; a regular healing potion is 2d4+2. If you drink it as an action, you gain 10 HP) Instead of rolling double the dice for critical hits, you roll normally then add the max number on the hit die. (example; if your damage is usually 1d6 plus modifiers, instead of rolling 2d6 plus modifiers, you'll roll 1d6+6 plus modifiers)
