About the adventure

In Vecna: Eve of Ruin, players race through the D&D multiverse to defeat the lich god Vecna, who intends to rewrite reality to give himself ultimate power. This is a high-level campaign that starts at Level 10 and goes to Level 20, where you’ll be able to leverage the most powerful abilities that DND has to offer. You’ll be visiting new planes as you go to DND’s most famous locations and meet some of the most infamous characters in DND’s 50-year history. The entire multiverse relies on your skill and dedication to take down Vecna before it’s too late. Can you and your party do it? This game is a great fit for new players AND players who have played Vecna: Eve of Ruin before (in whole or in part) as well as fans of the Spelljammer, Dragonlance, Ravenloft, and Greyhawk settings. I deeply love D&D lore and have revamped the campaign to better integrate fun and unique aspects of these special settings! Fly your own magical spaceship and fight against solar dragons and an astral elf empire, visit the mysterious Carnival while traveling across the Domains of Dread, fend off the armies of Lord Soth and Takhesis, delve Zagyg’s deadly Castle Greyhawk dungeon (and more), all in defense of the multiverse!

About me

Well met! I’m an huge fan of the Forgotten Realms and thrilled to breathe life into the setting and characters for you to explore and adventure within. Playing Baldur’s Gate 3 led me to falling in love with the world of Faerûn, and I’ve been having a wonderful time creating wild and exciting stories for players in that fantastic realm. I enjoy inhabiting the realm’s characters and giving players a backdrop to explore their own character’s backstory and connections to the world. I’m happy to take you on an adventure you’ll never forget, with a gorgeous Virtual Tabletop, exciting combat, and memorable RP! Let’s go! 👀

Character creation

Creating your character

⚔️ Characters start at Level 10 with 5,000 Gold, a Rare magic item, three Uncommon, and two Common. Gold can be spent on healing potions, non-magical equipment, and spell components. 🔥 You can roll for stats on my Discord server, use point buy, or use the standard array. ✨ All DnDBeyond content, including partnered content, is accepted for species, classes, subclasses, items, spells, etc. Have fun with the wide library of content I have made available! 💎 Create a character who calls part of the multiverse home. You can have your character be part of Faerûn (Forgotten Realms, such as the Shadowfell or Underdark), Ravenloft, Eberron, Dragonlance, Spelljammer, or Greyhawk! I’m happy to help you work on a backstory tying your character into the campaign too. This campaign offers a lot of opportunity to explore personal character stories, especially those from other settings.

What to expect

What Cy brings to the table

Players have mentioned the following about my games: ✨ Visuals. I use Foundry and put a lot of effort into making maps and tokens for encounters, so you can easily visualize what’s going on. Scenes have ambient music and oftentimes animated effects. I enjoy that video game-esque feel with my setup. 🎭 Roleplay opportunities. Players love that we get small downtime moments during the session where they can interact with each other and NPCs. Long rests are the perfect time for this. If players are roleplaying with each other without me having to speak, I see that as a huge star! 🪎 Fair shares of loot. I carefully follow the DMG loot tables to make sure each enemy drops an appropriate amount of loot, and I aim to use the hoard table at least once per session. 💸 Shops. Players like that I design automated shops where they can spend their gold, with a buy and sell interface for buying new items and selling loot they’ve earned. ⚔️ At least one combat per session, where tactical thinking is often rewarded. I like setting up some combat encounters where players’ builds get to shine (the “they’re in fireball formation!” encounter, shooting your monks, etc.). Other encounters reward strategy and offer unique challenges. I don’t begrudge skilled and tactical players or spellcasters; system mastery is very welcome, so feel free to use Chef Mike, throw out Spiked Growth and forced movement shenanigans, etc. 📚 Lore focus. I really love the lore of these worlds and will rewrite scenes or chapters to better fit the lore (like virtually everything in Vecna: Eve of Ruin, lol). This is invisible if you’re not familiar with the lore, but noticeable if you are! 💎 Custom magic items. I really enjoy making and designing items that grow with the players, which complement their play style, goals, and skill sets. 🎲 Huge library of materials. I have a ton of sourcebooks on DnDBeyond to build with, virtually all the official material and a whole bunch of favorite 3rd party material too. I love seeing folks come up with unique interactions between the 3rd party materials. 🎯 I like the Rules as Written and tend to stick to them. They are our scaffolding for how we interact with the game world and provide us structure for what we can do in the course of the game.

Homebrew rules

✨ Drink a potion as an action for full healing effect ⚔️ Critical hits deal max damage on the first roll, then roll your extra damage as usual 🗡️ Flanking gives advantage on melee attacks 🔥 Deathbringer dice — when you roll a nat20, you earn the party a d6 that can be rolled and added onto any player d20 test for that session (attack rolls, saving throws, etc). It’s a party resource the party can use at their discretion! 🎭 Write a session recap in your character’s POV and earn an inspiration you can use for the next session. Great for roleplayers.
