About the adventure

You will play as a company of Lancers, elite mech pilots, ready to charge into battle against raiders harassing a fledgling colony on a remote planet. It should have been simple. You should have known better. It's never simple. A war is buried here beneath the trees, mud, and centuries of nigh-forgotten history. You are about to be caught up in its remorseless violence. As awesome as the firepower of your mechs may be, the answers will not come easy from the barrel of a gun. You will have to find allies among disparate factions all with agendas of their own. You will make decisions that demand trust, courage, and sacrifice. You will uncover secrets the galaxy is too ashamed to face. Only then you will have a chance to right centuries old mistakes grave enough to bring down a galaxy-spanning government. What You Can Expect βš”οΈ Engaging Combat Lancer's excellent tactical combat, expanded with additional objectives, unique adversaries, and dynamic outcomes. πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘ Character-Driven Story A diverse cast of NPCs, each with their attitudes, loyalties, and agendas. Get to know your friends and foes alike, build lasting relationships, and discover who your pilot is outside the cockpit. πŸ”Ž Mystery & Investigation Explore Hercynia's past through rumors, investigation, and exploration -- and witness what happens at the intersection of your choices and the incomprehensible regrets.

About me

I specialize in modern and futuristic settings -- often cynical, dog-eat-dog worlds with oppressive institutions. But, while the occasional 'cash is king' mercenary story is fun, my most memorable campaigns are made by players who refuse to be another cog in the system. Together with you, I want to create stories about rage against the machine, compassion when it is least expected, and putting everything on the line to make a change. 'Think you got what it takes, kid? Let's get fixing.' I've been GMing for over a decade, and every session my players continue to surprise me with their ingenuity (or sometimes lack thereof :P). I run a variety of rulesets, primarily as long-form, character-driven campaigns; for the rare pre-written campaign that I do run, I always ensure to include some extra twists and PC connections. 🏡️ I am always open to developing a new campaign in modern, post-apoc, or futuristic settings. I also have a flexible schedule, and can comfortably cover US, EU, and APAC timezones. If you're looking for a unique experience, let's talk! 🏡️

Character creation

Creating your character

πŸ“š Characters should be created using the official (and free) Lancer Comp/Con app to be imported into Foundry. 🀝 Characters can arrive to the planet together, or already be on Hercynia at the start of the campaign; specifics can be discussed and finalized during session 0. Potential options include Union soldiers, mercenaries, local militia, or something more ... esoteric. πŸ†˜ On request, I'll walk individual players through the character creation process outside of scheduled session time, at no additional cost.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

πŸ’¬ A Discord account is required for sessions and between-session comms. 🎲 Hosted on Foundry VTT; no purchase or registration needed for players. πŸŽ™οΈ A dedicated microphone is highly recommended. πŸ“· Cameras are optional, but not required. ❀️‍πŸ”₯ Above all, a desire to engage with the story and your pilot, both in and out of the mech cockpit.

What Fixer Victor brings to the table

Expect an explosive blend of tactical combat and varied roleplay opportunities. 🎨 High Production Value: Each session meticulously prepared with atmospheric visuals, consistent tokens, battlemaps, and curated music playlists. 🧠 Fast and Smart OpFor: Enemies use their classes, templates, abilities, and objectives intelligently, while Foundry automation and systems knowledge keeps even the most complicated battles moving. ⏩ Campaign continuity: At the conclusion of Wallflower: Act 1, play can continue into community-supported Acts 2 & 3, or a more sandbox experience in the broader Lancer universe.

Safety

How Fixer Victor creates a safe table

All of my tables are a welcoming, inclusive space for players from all walks of life, and I have zero tolerance for bigotry or -isms of any kind. Beyond playing a game together, I hope to help folks build real, lasting friendships. It is always completely okay to call for a break, pause the game, or step away for a time. Your real-life well-being always comes first. We will establish Lines & Veils together. Those can be clarified and updated as campaign progresses. X-Card: An anonymized X-card is available at all times through the VTT during play to fade to black or skip uncomfortable moments without need for explanation. Each session will end with a quick debrief. We'll use Stars and Wishes approach to discuss what works and what we want to see more of, and check in on how everyone is feeling. There's also always time to unwind and banter if desired.
